I know this response is a bit late.... but I was interested in the answer myself~ and found this quote
" Getting to Iran is relatively easy by sea. There is a regular ferry service between Manama and Bushehr, for an acceptable fare that includes meals for a journey of around 16 hours. For the moment, Iran is Bahrain’s only neighbour that is included in ferry services to and from Bahrain."
So, it looks like that's the only marine option from this site http://www.justlanded.com/english/Bahrain/Bahrain-Guide/Travel-Leisure/Crossing-borders
There's always a short flight, but driving there would require a trip through KSA, and that requires special insurance and a visa.
HTH!
Hi,
A friend wishes to travel from Bahrain to Qatar with his daughter. Is there a ferry doing this route? Is there a tourist bus.
How would you do the journey to maximise sightseeing?
Are there visa issues?
Your advice would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks in advance
