Looking for a new home

We are looking for a new home for Fuzzy, a timid, kind-natured dog.

Fuzzy is approximately 3 years old and has lived with our family for 2 years. She came to us terrified of most things and we have been working hard with our dog behaviourist to build up her confidence.

She is much better in the house and is now brave enough to ask for cuddles. She is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours a day. She does not chew furniture and generally keeps herself to herself. She is no bother in the house and loves laying outside in the garden in the sun.

She is dog reactive on the lead (due to fear) and we have been working hard on this with some great results. This work would need to be continued to help build up her confidence even more. However, she currently lives with another dog and they love to play fight and play tug of war.

The reason she needs a new home is that she is too nervous to be around young children. We have tried hard to help her overcome this but have reached agreement with our dog behaviourist that she would be much happier in an adult only house or a house with older children with a calmer environment.

She will need a patient understanding family who are willing to see her potential and put the time in to help her continue to grow. She desperately wants to please and will try her best to do so.

I am happy to pass on the details of our dog behaviourist who has known Fuzzy pretty much since we got her and has helped her to come this far.

Please can you refrain from giving advice as to how she can stay in our home. This is not an option – she must be rehomed to a house without young children.
