Hi

My husband and I are moving to Abu Dhabi at the end of September with our now 6 week old daughter. We will get her 8 week injections done in the UK but I am unsure of how I go about getting her 12 and 18 week boosters once I am in the UAE or if this is even something they offer? I am a first time mum so any info would be really appreciated.

I also wondered if there were any mums groups in Abu Dhabi as I don't really know anyone there and it would be lovely to connect with other mums and for my daughter Izzy to make new friends.

Thank you in advance for your help. :)

welcome to UAE! and congratulations on your new baby daughter. Dubai 'mostly the big hospitals' is patterned through the UK maternity and childcare system, hence it will be almost the same vaccination list you will get for your baby. As a matter of fact, if you have a residency and tenancy, you could just go to health centers near Abu Dhabi and sign up for the free vaccines, the same dosage and kind given in private hospitals. We bring our child to Medical City here in Dubai as vaccines are covered by insurance. You can check with your insurance too if they could approve yours. Otherwise, prepare AED700-AED1,300 for vaccines.
