We took our 6 year old to Mauritius and explored the island. He saw the sugar plantations. we took glass bottom boats out so he could look at all the coral and the fish. We visited the market in the town and he tried different fruits - really you don't need to book a course - just enjoy the different things that a different place can offer you.
We also went to thailand with our 2 kids - we did an elephant trek in the forest, we hired a speed boat and explored some beautiful uninhabited islands - we pretended to be pirates looking for treasure. The crew we had took the kids snorkelling and pointed out al the different fish - they dived for the kids and brought up shells and hermit crabs - we explored and enjoyed everything with the children.
We have taken them to Oman which they loved - we did an evening in the souk which again, they enjoyed and got into bartering for things that they saw and wanted to buy.
there are some great places to visit and just enjoy with your child. they don't need to be entertained every minute - sometimes they need some quiet times too after being at school. Just enjoy your time together and have a lovely holiday.
At 6 yrs old, anywhere you take her will be an amazing learning experience. We took our three children (all under 5 at the time) to Istanbul and they loved every minute of it. My son is now 6 and I'd LOVE the chance to take him on a holiday somewhere interesting.
She doesn't need a course or camp...just pick a destination that interests you and feels safe, and you'll have a great time together. :)
Hello Ladies,
I have looked for a while for a family holiday destination in Dec but now my DH is anble to take a holiday so I am left with the option of taking my 6 yrs old daughter on a holiday for a 5 days (she has been wonting to go on a plain for a long time).
I was thinking i can take her somewhere where she can have an experience like enroll in a short course for children or do a certain activity. Any idea If there is such a thing? maybe in in asia or Europe?
