Do Tavola still do that? as i heard they didn't now. The Henkel shop in DM will do - but i think you need to charm the guy a bit as only meant to do their own brand.

TIA So, in sheer desperation to get my knives sharpened, I bit the bullet and tried this guy without any recommendations from others and ... WOW! My knives are like new and I'm over the moon. I would whole-heartedly recommend him. He's situated in JLT, so you can drop off there, or he'll pick them up from your house and return them the next day. One very happy camper here, in case you couldn't tell :)

Bump - because after two years I still haven't found anyone in Dubai to sharpen my knives (as Tavola will only sharpen the brands they sell!) and so I have to take them with me and get them done back home when I travel. Anyone tried this guy? Or anyone have any other leads? Pleeeeeeeeeeeese :)

I tried Tavola Dubai Mall and was told they only sharpen Globals and Henkels, which of course are the brands they sell. I also asked at Tavola MOE, just to be sure, and was told the same thing. Consequently, my Wusthofs are still as blunt as ... a very blunt thing! Desperate to get them sharpened, but don't want to risk them being ruined by some amateur - any other recommendations?
