I also think they are super, the only reason that we haven't used them recently is that the transit is a hassle with a toddler, also, their reward plan is really good!

I did Dubai to Doha and Doha to Sao Paulo a few days ago. The short flights are the usual. The Sao Paulo flight was excellent, even sitting in the back of the bus. The plane was very new, only 9 seats across instead of the usual 10, slightly wider seats and excellent service. The food wasn't as good as EK and nor was the entertainment system - EK's ICE leaves big shoes to fill. The flight back from DOH to DXB was on an A330 instead of the usual A320 which I think they would use for European routes and it was so-so. If it was a lot cheaper I'd fly them on a European route but it would have to be a HUGE amount cheaper for me to switch from the convenience of EK to QA. For the ultra-long-hauls i'd thoroughly recommend QA.

Would really recommend them - the only pain is going via Doha!

We just moved here from Doha and so we've used QA several times over the past four years. I personally find them much better than Emirates - the planes are newer, the staff is far nicer and more hepful than most airlines and I have found them to be quite flexible on most things e.g. counter closing and us reaching late, excess baggage etc. Have done several sectors - US, Europe, Asia and Africa (using both business and economy) but always from and to Doha....you might feel the inconvenience of then having to wait for a connecting flight to Dubai although the fares might be more tempting as well! We also recently bought tickets on QA which were 2 for the price of 1 - fantastic deal! Enjoy your trip....I'm sure you'll be pleased with QA.
