Thanks ladies! I will pop to Waitrose and see if I can find some. It's not Bambi by the time it's slaughtered and the meat is very good for you as it is low in fat and cholesterol - p-lus it's DELICIOUS!

Last weekend I noticed in Waitrose at Dubai Marina Mall they had a selction of game meat including venison. They also had rabbit, hare, guinae fowl, ostrich and something else I can't remember. It was near the lamb but the butchers could probably help you if there's none on display.

Never seen venison but picked up some camel meat in Carrefour the other day. Understand it is reasonably good for you compared to other red meat, needs a long slow cook so still awaiting in the freezer!
