dot 123 - yes! Heavens! Known Ros since I was 5 ... Rosalind Fletcher as was. Seeing her plus 3 other old George Spicer / Enfield County girls this April when I go back for my usual springtime in England. Small world, eh! Sega - yes, you read right ... don't ask me how it happened, but she's from Bangalore, and I keep asking if her husband is a Qatari, and she says yes.

LadyD - did I read this correctly 'a young indian lady married to a Qatari'? Sorry, I am not trying to be funny but just a bit puzzled. If that is correct, please ignore the question as by no means do I want to be intrusive.

Just a quick one - you dont happen to know someone called Ros edwards do you, from your school days? She wouldn't have been edwards then of course but im not sure what her maiden name was! I was at school with Ros and John's daughter Ailsa and when I moved here ros told me that an old school friend was out here called Lesley Durston - is it you???! Coincidence if so! Sorry I cant help with the maid situation! would love to have some help but think it might be a slippery slope for me!!! best wishes Hannah

I know it must seem like I run a maids' agency .. but I don't! My maid has just lost two of her ladies who are moving on, and so has one full day and a couple of afternoons free. She's a young Indian lady, married to a Qatari, and is a very good, fast worker. Let me know if any of you are still looking and don't mind taking on 'freelancers'. lesleyd dot durston at gmail dot com PS Maid has just told me she only wishes to work for Americans, English, Australians, South Africans ... Apologies to all. Don't think I will be posting any more pleas for work from maids in the future!! edited by LadyD on 02/02/2011
