loooooooooool iv been away for about an hour and came back to everyone talking about my age! To clear things up I worked as a therapist just to clear up I was interning as my mother has her own business so i sat in for over 2 years learning and you would be surprised how many women talk about this subject. I would think twice about telling her instead how about you focus on getting some PROOF? pay close attention when u r over their house? In the 2 years, did your Mum ever mention anything about client confidentiality? LOL

I suppose I'm a bit confused by the logic of the idea of the DH/maid scenario. I can see the temptation (for either men or women) to be unfaithful with someone, say, met at work - who is good-looking, fun and unfamiliar - and where the possibility arises through work functions or work travel. But I don't get quite so easily the irresistible temptation of someone who is in your house everyday mopping the floor and taking out the rubbish in a pyjama-like maid's uniform, so not unfamiliar, glamorous and exciting. Mopping floors etc is done by most wives in most countries and Im sure their DHs still fancy them lol. Not sure about the uniform though. Can understand that could be a turn off! But then a lot of women would state they like a man in uniform so who knows hehe

We had a maid when I was growing up. My dad had an affair with her when my mum was dying of cancer in hospital. She used to try and tempt him by pretending her shower did not work and needed to use the one upstairs then she would wrap herself in the tiniest towel and run back to her bedroom giggling saying she forgot her clothes. Funnily her shower only seemed to stop working only when Dad was home. Wow! Thats truly horrid and heartless!

heh. you wana hear a maid marrying the master story? Dh is the product of such a marriage. His mother was the Burmese maid and father the Jordanian employer. It was very scandalous in that day, they had to move to London to get away from his first wife and the rest of the relatives. My mother in law is pure evil, corrupt and absolutely diabolical.

Sorry I disagree. I would be shocked to the core if it was my DH shagging my maid (or anyone else for that matter). I would be looking for bl00d if it was my DH for sure never mind who it was !!!!!!!!!! And I also have a colleague whose DH had an affair with a maid - she forgave him- I would have killed him !!!!!!!

Sadly no, Pepps. I was a teensy bit embarrassed. ;) Ms.K I know men generally have a less emotional view of s#x than women but your words almost make it sound (to me at least) like it's excusable and shouldn't come as a surprise. No, it shouldn't come as a surprise. And no, it isn't acceptable.

Men are different than women when it comes to $ex. I'm not saying it's a foregone conclusion, I'm saying that it's logical for a man to be tempted by a woman who lives under his roof, who takes care of him and is cheerful about doing it. I suppose I'm a bit confused by the logic of the idea of the DH/maid scenario. And surely the risks are huge, in your own home? Plus it's hardly no-strings-attached s%x, if the cliche that maids are looking to 'marry up' is true...? It sounds more likely to end in disaster than a workplace affair, and with fewer short-term rewards...?

It happened to my friends neighbour, and the DH divorced his wife and married the maid. One of DD's friends has parents in the same situation. I put my foot in it in a big way..... lol - what did you say? Well we used to have a F/T live-in housemaid but when we moved to the wild west we didn't take her with us, so the one doing all the cleaning, laundry etc is now me. DD brought a friend home for a sleepover. The following morning I looked in the guest room where he'd slept and it was completely tidy with the bed made to perfection. I was so surprised I asked if he had a maid and he said "No. We did but now it's my step-mum" Thinking it was the same scenario as us I said, "Oh yes, same here too" Except he meant that they used to have a maid but said maid was now his step-mum... SD did you make that up hahahaha x

Since the lady of the house generally becomes the decision maker regarding a maid, when going through an agency tell them that there are two very important requirements: that she's over 35 years of age and absolutely fugly, both requirements supported by docs and photos.

That doesn't paint men in a particularly good light. It's pretty much saying that if a women employs a maid then she should expect her DH to want to shag her. I'm sure my DH doesn't expect me to shag all the gardeners, electricians, appliance deliverers, couriers, plumbers who are employed to work in our house. It's not a foregone conclusion that two people of the opposite s#x will jump into bed with each other. Men are different than women when it comes to $ex. You can tell your friend everything but just say that it is happening to someone else.... Ask her what you should do and while u are at it.. ask her later what would she want if she was in the same situation. You can also tell her your concerns over losing that "friend" if you told her the truth. This would give you an idea of what she wants and if you do end up telling her it was she who you were talking about she might rethink before getting upset with you.

It happened to my friends neighbour, and the DH divorced his wife and married the maid. wonder if the maid continued to please sir as much after the wedding? She got a big pay raise and after a few months he probably thought he married her nasty twin sister.

If you invite another woman to live in your home I would think temptation would arise, especially if your DH is home alone with her all day while you work. If you're worried about it, hire a houseboy and hope that DH doesn't have other desires.

Well good luck to them...! He may have had money whilst he was married, but if that happened to me, DH certainly wouldn't by the time I was finished with him!!! My DH knows I wouldn't be collecting alimony, I'd be living high on the hog on his life insurance policy!

Isn't that interesting as regards the other thread by the poster who felt frumpy compared to all the elegant, well-put-together women she saw in Dubai? Given that this man - and presumably others like him - married a woman he would usually have seen clothed very simply or wearing a maid's uniform (which, as seen in Dubai, are hardly the most seductive of garments...?) and mopping the floor? What does that say about the anxieties felt by so many women about their appearance, grooming, dress etc etc? That it doesn't much matter? That it doesn't much matter when there's the offer of s$x? Or are we to assume that this woman was so drop-dead gorgeous she made her uniform look wonderful...? or he wanted a totally subservient, yes woman..... who would do ANYTHING to please him and not complain or ***** about it....

no man is 150% trustworthy...a man who has never cheated is a man who has never been offered... My husband was offered. By a knickerless western woman at the Jebel Ali carwash. He refused and walked into the waiting room where I was obliviously reading a 7 days newspaper. He came in and told me what had just happened and she came in too, sat opposite us with her legs spread wide open. Thankfully our car was ready and as we walked out I said to her you really need to keep your knickers on or your legs together, no man wants something that nasty. We got in the car and had a good laugh at how pathetic she was. That's just plain bizarre! yup it surely was! But I was there and saw it with my own eyes unfortunately.
