Hi Ladies, Can you please recommend any good gynecologist around Dubai? I have seen several around past 10 years, Dr. Ratna Nehru at Community Medical centre has been the best so far, I was seen by her for my 1st pregnancy, but since she doesn't do deliveries I went to Zulekha Hospital, Al Nahda. I must say the doctor who did my delivery was horrible! and I am not exaggerating. I did not get any pains on the due date and Dr. Jasbir from Zulekha insisted I get admitted, they induced me for 2 days, I was dying in pain, she burst my water bag with some device. She kept insisting I should bear more days in induced labor, finally i could not take it.. i was exhausted after 48 hours labor. I told her plz do a c-section I cannot bear this. She was so rude to me and my husband, i was anemic and she had a problem with me because i did not see her thru my entire tenure and came for the last trimester. She denied accepting my reports and made me re-do everything in their lab..plus when I asked her to do my c-section on my way to the OT she saw i had a gold finger ring.. her nurses did not inform me about this btw. and because of pregnancy my fingers were swollen, she denied doing my surgery, imagine i am on the stretcher in pain, outside the OT, and she tells my husband take your wife somewhere now and get this ring out of her, my husband was in tears and so was I, then the nurses brought some device and cut the ring. She did the operation and we pledged we are never coming back to this hospital. I left on the 2nd day because I could not take this nonsense. I did not even see her for follow up treatment.. This was my first hand experience with that doctor.

I do recommend Dr. Munira Furniturewala at Dubai Mall. She is very pleasant, serious and professional but the problem is that she does not deliver. I do not recommend Dr. Sujata. She now works at Welcare Hospital (previously in Dubai mall clinic) . She is not organized and she had put pressure on me to do things her way. I went through a C-Section which was absolutely and completely not necessary!! It is very sad for a newly mother to be stressed at the very last days of her first pregnancy. A doctor should provide complete comfort to her patients and not the opposite. edited by basilico81 on 18/11/2014

Hi Sami, I am so shocked to read your review. Actually I had decided to go for Dr Grace after reading several threads here. I am currently going to Dr. Jaimala Shukla, but since she does not do deliveries I will have to shift to some other doctor in 28 weeks. I did my first with Dr. Luthra @ Medcare and do no wish to go to her again. So far what I have gathered here is good reviews for Dr Elsa, Dr Grace and Dr Rajalaxmi. Which doctor are you seeing now? I am sorry to cause you worry scorpion but I was hospitalized for over two weeks and almost lost the baby and my own life. I am now on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy and even then the doctors think I will not make it past 32 weeks. I don't want to tarnish anyone's reputation but would hate to see anyone else suffer. I am now with Dr. Azizunnissa at city, a lot of doctors refused to take my case but Dr. A took the risk and saved our lives.

Hello Ladies !!.. Those who are delivering with Dr Grace, can you let us know her delivery charges @ City or any other hospital she is tied to? Since now she is moved to DMMC, I assume she would not have a package and would act as a external doctor delivering there? Hi scorpion I have previously recommended dr grace but not anymore she screwed up a perfectly normal pregnancy for me and refused to operate on me last minute to save the baby. We ended up changing our doctors the night before my surgery, I don't wish to discourage you but I would hate for anyone else to go through the trauma I faced. I have logged an official complaint against her as well.

I highly recommend Dr.Munira, I have been seeing her for a while now and am undergoing fertility treatment. She is fantastic, she always has time to talk through everything with you and if I still have questions I will email her and she replies quickly. Her nurse is great also, all in all I am very happy and have lots of faith in her. I feel very luck to have found her first time! edited by Awayfromhome15 on 07/02/2012

Dr. Grace is really nice, she's not one of those talkative doctors, but really calm and composed, and best in what she does. I agree orchard she is an oasis of comfort ! i saw three more OB's before I chose her. She was the only one who really took interest asked me about my work, previous medical records etc. She is also very open to questions my DH always has the weirdest questions and she answers them all patiently.

Dr Munira Furniturewala - saw me through a very painful miscarriage and conception of my 1st baby (who is now 14months)! Specializes in fertility and conception! Can highly recommend her, she has a very special place in my heart :) Dr Grace Jacob - another thumbs up! Very nurturing and has years of experience under her belt! Also specializes in high risk pregnancies! TIA
