Sorry ladies if that has been done before, but I need some infos regarding IB curriculum in dubai. Which school are the best in dubai for IB? Are they all internationally recognized? And where can I find an official report on them?
Any other infos most welcome!
Thanks a lot!!

One of the top IB schools is Swiss International School in Dubai. This is a full IB school, offering progressive education within all 3 IB programs (Primary, Middle Years and Diploma). Swiss School in Dubai also focuses on immersive language learning, offering bilingual programs like English/French and English/German plus intensive Arabic learning.

Eden, I would have a look at all the schools and make your mind up from there. I would look at Star, AAD, WIS, JESS and DESS

Have you looked at any of the Taaleem schools? A few of them are IB schools, I think Uptown Primary is internationally recognized and they were waiting for the others to be officially recognized. I may be wrong though as my info is a couple of yeras old! Look up Greenfield Community School, JBS and Uptown Primary. Also look up dubaifaqs dot com, they have a list of all the schools in Dubai and the curricullum they follow.

Hi appletiser I totally agree with you, I thought I just needed to find a good school for early years, no matter what curriculum. But is it easy/ doable to switch from one curriculum to another when the kids reach high school?

I wouldnt be so worried about IB in the early years. Its the high school years that the curricullum is important. In primary you basically just want a good school that gives good education.

Thanks a lot for your replies ladies. The link is very interesting dramaqn, but somehow doesn't list EIS for example as having PYP...I am a bit confused, because on their website, it seems eis has a primary section...from my understanding, I have the choice between DIA, raffles south, eis, GWA and UAS ( thanks appletiser). Am I missing something? Thanks they do have primary section, though not sure either why they are not listed on ibo.org or may be they are not yet accredited. There is one more school (not on ibo.org list), but may be someone can give info whether it's wrong or not, but Dar Al Marefa school is listed on KHDA website as IB curriculum too

Universal American School near Festival City follows PYP,MYP and IB. Great school and would highly recommend them. My oldest DS is there and is very happy. Teachers are great,Principal and admin staff very knowledgable and helpful, school grounds fantastic.

have a look at this link, it lists which schools offer IB and at which stage http://ibo.org/school/search/index.cfm?programmes=&country=AE&region=&find_schools=Find as for the reports, visit KHDA website My friend used to study in Emirates International School and loved it (his nieces & nephews are going to that school now).

Thanks twilight. So that means I should be looking for schools that follow PYP first (for I am looking for my DD who is 4yo)? I have looked at gems world academy, but it looks much more expensive than others, why is that? Any personal experience?

The IB is done when students are in the last 2 years of school, before that its PYP and MYP. Have a look at GWS
