My son 16 months old was diagnosed with mild hearing loss at birth. As advised by his doctors, we placed a hearing aid at the age of 8 months to ensure that he can develop normal speech. His speech milestones are normal as per his audiologist, ENT doc and speech therapist at Hearlife Clinic. However as a mom I feel concerned about the future of my son and need help from people who might have similar cases. Do you know of any good nurseries with speech therapy teachers in Dubai closer to Jebel Ali area? Nurseries that can help keeping the hearing aid device on his ears all the time. Is it advisable to take him to nursery at this age or should I just wait till he completes at least 24 months. Your help is much appreciated.

Aga Khan Early Learning Centre works with a lots of therapists from various clinics. They have had children of various additional needs and worked well with them. They are located in Oud Metha - go and check them out as they are very unique.
