20 Most Definitely Life-Risking Shots of Dubai

In a world dominated by social media, the competition online to get the best, most perfect and viral-worthy shot is extremely high. And despite all of the tall towers across the globe, the towering skyscrapers of Dubai seems to attract the most daring of individuals.

We get it; there's lots of big buildings, with lots of ledges providing the most perfect view to capture Dubai's skyline. And while the end result is always magnificent, we can't help but wonder... Life-risking? Really?

Anyway, beyond our astonishment the results are truly wonderful and only makes us fall in love more deeply with the Emirate we call home.

So here's 20 fantastic images that were probably - if not, most definitely - a risk to take...

Instagram user and avid photographer @jacob's snap perfectly captures sunset in Dubai as he overlooks the strings of roads intertwined with one another. We can't put our thumb on what building he's stood on. Any ideas?

While @sidharthvithaldas may be the man behind the camera, it doesn't stop us from going 'eek' at the thought of his subject falling off that ledge... The fog one is especially beautiful as it envelopes Burj Khalifa.

You probably won't be surprised to find out that he's part of the #FollowMeTo clan that often wow us with their photos.

Renowned for his very risky shots, Siberian @olegcricket is a professional photographer and videographer that often puts his life at risk to capture the most insane shots. Dubai is obviously a perfect choice of playground for him.

We love @makhorov's shot from atop Jumeirah's Wild Wadi waterpark! We're not brave enough to go on their scariest water slide, never mid sit a the top of the park and capture this view.

Adrenaline junkie and Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is frequently inspiring the residents of Dubai with his amazing photography skills.

On his Instagram page, @faz3, his followers will often find images from the top of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. Of course while a risky shot to take, we're sure Sheikh Hamdan was 100% safe while capturing these shots.

For everyone who's wondering what the view is like at the top! #BurjKhalifa #MyDubai #MyView

The fact you can see his hair blowing in the wind makes us very, very nervous. And the flag one?@abudialsagoff has got us hiding behind our hands.
