National Day Long Weekend Announced for All Sectors in Dubai

Both public and private sector holidays have been announced for National Day and Prophet Mohammad’s birthday

National Day Long Weekend Announced for All Sectors in Dubai

Everyone in the public sector already started making plans for their long weekend coming up after the public holiday dates were announced last week Thursday. Now everyone in the private sector can also start planning with a glorious three-day long weekend to look forward to.

The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced today, November 22 that the private sector will enjoy a three day weekend to celebrate Prophet Mohammad’s birthday, Commemoration Day and UAE National Day while the public sector have four days off.

The private sector holiday will be from November 30th to December 2nd with work resuming on Sunday, December 3rd.

This will mark the last long weekend for 2017.

Commemoration day in the UAE honours the people who have given their lives for the UAE while National Day celebrates the unification of the seven emirates to form the UAE.
