Tolerance UAE

If you suddenly saw a change in your phone’s service provider name this week

It might have to do with a tolerance festival in the UAE dedicated to everyone living in the country.

Several residents noticed that their phone no longer says Etisalat or Du over the past week and was instead replaced by the word “Tolerance.”

Tolerance UAE

The Ministry of Tolerance with the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi launched the UAE’s first ever Festival of Tolerance – with a special event happening in Umm Al Emarat Park.

With a special range of diversified celebrations and more, the event attracted various cultures, nationalities and backgrounds under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

The event hopes to keep this annual initiative as an appreciation of the country’s values of tolerance and respect towards communities that reside in the UAE.

Festival of Tolerance falls on the Year of Zayed

It is by no coincidence that such a valuable initiative falls on the same year dedicated to the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - Year of Zayed.

Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan was a true believer and promoter of values of respect and tolerance amongst communities in the United Arab Emirates.

And the UAE aims to continue following this long-line of traditions.
