Transforming into a hub for everything artistic, Golden Mile Galleria is the place to be for the next two weekends…

On 30th November and 1st, 7th and 8th December, Palm Jumeirah will host an art exhibition for Dubai residents to enjoy and explore the best creative talents in the emirate.

Bringing “A Cultural Flair” to Dubai for residents to enjoy, Golden Mile Galleria is transforming into a hub for arts and culture this season.

It’s a festival that brings together an eclectic group of artists, musicians, painters, sculptors and dancers under one roof to celebrate creativity, and engage with the community through various forms of artistic expression.

Held on the terraces of Golden Mile Galleria, adjacent to Al Ittihad Park, the event presents two creative elements: the Africa Cultural Pavilion and Art Nights.

With the Africa Cultural Pavilion, Golden Mile Galleria’s “A Cultural Flair” aims to showcase the rich heritage of both West and East Africa.

A fashion bazaar and handicrafts market will exhibit African fabrics, accessories and home décor items, while runway shows will feature designs by top UAE-based African fashion designers. Guests can also have their hair styled into twists or dreads at turban tying workshops, or attend bracelet making and wire sculpting sessions.

An exhibition inspired by the continent’s culture will showcase artwork, photographs and installations by artists, while a learning and creative space will offer a collection of books about African heritage. Visitors can also attend panel discussions to enrich their knowledge about contemporary Africa.

The Africa Cultural Pavilion is being held in collaboration with the Ajala Project, a UAE based award-winning enterprise that uses art to raise awareness. Browse through artwork and discover inspiring stories of people creating a positive change in the world, or purchase a limited edition jacket. All proceeds will go a safe home for under-privileged girls in Kenya.

Speaking about "A Cultural Flair", artist Natalie Daghestani said, "this really is a fantastic initiative from Nakheel Malls. They are giving a platform to local artists in a key location. The support from their side is invaluable and I am really excited for the opportunity to present my unique artworks to the general public in a location that is also a lot more open and inclusive.

"It allows for a more natural discovery by general passers by and individuals who may not necessarily be motivated to visit an art gallery specifically, but who may stumble upon a local artist whose work they fall in love with, igniting their love of art and supporting the local arts scene at the same time."

Don't miss the opportunity to meet these talented UAE artists at "A Cultural Flair" happening at Golden Mile Galleria on 30th November and 1st, 7th and 8th December!
