Imagine yourself at an aesthetic clinic in Dubai, looking to rejuvenate your facial skin, a bit of hydration here, skin tightening there, and hyperpigmentation treatment, with a side of anti-aging treatments. Sounds like the perfect antidote for your skin regardless of your age.
Now, think about this, whatever happens to your face over the years, also happens to your intimate area. We understand it sounds a bit far-fetched, but that is the reality of life. The vulva area also ages, experiences dehydration, pigmentation, scarring, and skin laxity not to mention a bit of uncalled for recurrent infections.
This is where vaginal facial comes in.
What is a Vaginal Facial?
Just as your facial skin ages, the same thing happens to your vulva region. A vaginal facial is a set of treatments that target the vulva region, which is the outer labia and along the bikini line (inner thighs). These set of treatments do not target the inside of the vagina, and are not invasive, rather they are non-surgical, with some being minimally invasive.
What does a Vaginal Facial treat?
A vaginal facial focuses on correcting imperfections or issues on the outer side of the vagina.
These include skin pigmentation, skin laxity as a result of aging, hormonal changes, and childbirth among other things, as well as treating issues like acne/ingrown hairs, and skin dehydration. In short, the vaginal facial treatments restore and maintain healthy skin on the vulva area and bikini line.
What does a Vaginal Facial treatment include?
Vaginal facial treatments include, but are not limited to the following:
The skin peelings used in a vaginal facial focus on intimate bleaching to treat skin pigmentation down there. These peelings, unlike the ones used for the face, are very mild and can sometimes be combined with laser, which adds to the rejuvenating effect.
Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that uses micro-injections of vitamins, enzymes, and minerals on the target area to rejuvenate and tighten the skin, in addition to making the skin look younger on the said area.
Non-cross linked dermal fillers for hydration
Non-cross linked dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which when injected into the target area, hydrate the skin, making it firmer by plumping it up, and elastic in addition to diminishing the soft lines you may or may not notice. Just like on the face where we say hydration is the key to youthful skin, so is the skin down there.

Just like other parts of the body, the intimate region tends to lose elasticity and volume due to a number of factors like aging and drastic weight loss. These effects can be made worse by childbirth, menopause, and genetic predispositions. To counter these side effects, labia fillers, which consist of hyaluronic acid, can be used to restore volume to the labia majora (outer lips of the vagina), create symmetry and improve skin hydration.
PRP, which is short for Platelet Rich Plasma, is a natural therapy that uses one’s own blood plasma, which when injected in the target area stimulates new collagen, which as a result encourages tissue repair and production of elastin. And when combined with peeling and laser, PRP, which is filled with growth factors, increases the lightening effect.
Laser skin resurfacing
For the vaginal facial, two types of laser are used - CO2 fractional laser and Nd:YAG laser. Both of these lasers work by resurfacing the skin in an ablative or non-ablative way. The laser treatments promote collagen growth, ensuring new skin cells grow back lighter, tighter, and more toned. In addition, they reduce hyperpigmentation and promote collagen growth at the same time.
Hyperpigmentation treatment of the vulva and bikini area combines different types of treatments which include laser skin resurfacing, mild skin peeling, PRP or growth factors, and homecare skincare products. All these work in tandem to tone the skin down there, and make it lighter, brighter and more rejuvenated.
Radio Frequency tightening for vulva
Also known as RF, this is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment that combats skin laxity by tightening and lifting the vulva skin with the use of energy, which heats the skin in order to stimulate collagen production.
In addition to the above-mentioned treatments, skincare products for a vaginal facial, which consist of creams, are also recommended for further skin hydration and to support vaginal facial treatments like the laser and skin peeling for the best results.
That said, it is highly advisable to consult and have the treatments done by a qualified aesthetic gynecologist.
