Complete with shops, nurseries, schools and its own mall, Mirdif is an area of Dubai that is more affordable for families seeking a villa with a garden and/or access to a pool; although, apartments are also available in the area.

It's a world away from the skyscrapers you now find in 'modern' Dubai, and it's an area that is beloved by its residents - many of whom have lived in Mirdif for years.

The community has organically evolved over the years, and is made up of four sub-communities; Ghoroob, Shurooq, Uptown Mirdif and Mirdif Tulip. Each offers a variety of residential units for families to choose from as per their lifestyle needs, and it's one of the few Dubai areas that has been developed for the needs of its residents - and not as a tourist destination.

Not only that - but Mirdif is also conveniently located close to Dubai International Airport, and is home to the massive Mushrif Park.

Mirdif is also home to one of Dubai’s biggest parks, Mushrif Park. This attraction has its own mini zoo plus a plethora of outdoor activities available; including running, walking and bike riding. Al Khawaneej Pond Park can also be found here, which is home to a lengthy cycle-track has surrounded by greenery for cyclists to enjoy.

If you do need to venture out though, it’s best if you have a car due to the lack of public transport options servicing the area.

For dining and entertainment options, the community is host to different malls throughout; namely, Mirdif City Center, Arabian Mall, Etihad Mall, Aswaaq Mall and Mizhar Mall. Each mall comes complete with restaurants and entertainment that make for an enjoyable evening out.

For those living in the flight path of DXB, you might find the noise becomes a little louder in the evening as the rest of the area’s sound becomes less noticeable.

For nightlife, you’ll find there are a couple of bars in the area but residents generally travel to nearby locations like the Dubai Creek, Downtown Dubai and Business Bay for an evening out.
