First there was Amazon, now there's Amazon Prime.

The paid subscription service which offers benefits like free next-day delivery, discounts, and video streaming, has now become available in the UAE.

Following the shift of Souq.com to Amazon.ae on May 1st, there's no doubt UAE shoppers are very happy that the e-tailer has now launched Prime just one month later.

The service is Amazon's premium membership program and is currently enjoyed by more than 100 million paid members in 17 countries. Now, shoppers in the UAE can gain access to the same shopping and entertainment perks that Prime offers, including Amazon Prime Video, Twitch Prime and exclusive deals.

Everyone can try Prime and enjoy the benefits by signing up for a 30-day free trial at www.amazon.ae/prime.

After 30 days, new monthly customers in the UAE can enjoy an introductory promotional price of AED 12 per month until October 31st, 2019. After this date, customers can join Prime for AED 16 per month or alternatively can save by signing up for the year with an AED 140 annual payment.

"We are excited to provide UAE customers fast, free delivery on products from Amazon UAE and free international delivery on products from Amazon US," says Jamil Ghani, Vice President, Prime and Marketing International, Amazon.

"Prime is designed to make the lives of members better every day. It's only Day 1 so we will continue to make the program better through adding even more products and benefits to keep delighting customers in the UAE."

Subscribers will enjoy free next-day delivery in the country, with no minimum purchase on Amazon's thousands of products from various categories, including fashion, electronics, books, toys, consumables, and beauty.
