Polo lovers, rejoice! The Standard Chartered Gold Cup 2020 - a.k.a. the Dubai Open - is bringing world-class polo to the region soon and here's how you can get involved in the final.

Held under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Open is regarded as one of the biggest polo tournaments in the Middle East.

Happening on Friday 6th March 2020, tickets are available to purchase online at AED 180 per person.

For 2020, the Standard Chartered Gold Cup is poised to be bigger and better. It's one of the highest-ranked tournaments in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and occurs on the grounds of Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.

Each year, the tournament gathers royalties, VIPs from the Dubai social scene, polo enthusiasts and families to a spectacular performance by some of the world's best polo players competing for the Gold Cup trophy.

The final day of the event will be a celebration like no other, and you can expect some of the world's best Polo teams and players to be in attendance. Enjoy entertainment acts and a fashion show, while little ones take advantage of the dedicated kid's area filled with fun activities.

There'll be a picnic area for you to relax and enjoy the match in the gorgeous weather. That's not all - an entire corner will be dedicated to food trucks serving delicious foods, and there'll be a shopping village for you to browse through in between chukkers.

General admission for the Dubai Open at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club costs AED 180 per person. The event is on Friday 6th March.

About the Dubai Polo Gold Cup

The Dubai Polo Gold Cup organisation was founded in 2009 by Mohammed Al Habtoor, patron of the Habtoor Polo team. The Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series is comprised of five tournaments namely the Silver Cup, Polo Masters Cup, Standard Chartered Gold Cup, Dubai Challenge Cup, and Dubai Cup. The series is one of only five tournaments in the world played in the WPT Championship Cup category, on a par with world-class events held in Argentina, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
