here - this is the only role the legal department is currently recruiting for:

the only position available at the moment is as a legal adviser specialising in aircraft finance. I have never known an asset finance lawyer work "office hours" particularly when there is a delivery. And I would strongly suspect that anyone asking this sort of question isn't suitable for this kind of role, sorry.
Official Emirates office hours are 7-3.30. I don't think any of the lawyers don't do substantially more than that.
Thank you very much sandfly for your info. It's a legal officer position. Any idea what the working hours are? Is it 7-3 like government office or 9-6 like private?
bumping this up!
sources say, question a bit too general but am assuming this is aircraft finance position, in which case will be busy; hours variable as with any asset finance type role, obviously will have peaks and troughs.
Lindiwe, not sure there are too many Emirates lawyers' wives in existence, the legal department is majority female (which is not atypical for inhouse roles) but this would absolutely not be one of the first EK lawyers, there have been plenty of expat lawyers there years if not decades. The recent law change relates to lawyers who appear in the local courts, which in-house lawyers generally don't do in many places.
They do. I am an employee of Emirates and I was a witness in a case in London more than ten years ago and we had our Emirates lawyer with us for that.
They have always had inhouse legal.
I couldn't comment on the working conditions for those guys though.
Lindiwi, do you mean first lawyer in Emirates? Honestly, I didn't even know they employ lawyers up until now.
Thanks Kellsbells. Hopefully sandfly will read this...
hi
you'll probably find lots of pilots' wives on this site but not many expat Emirates lawyers' wives - I think he's one of the first - recent new rules and laws... Please correct me if I'm wrong
One of DH's close friend is applying for an Emirates job. Wanted to know how the working hours are, work load and the work environment is. Anyone here have any clue/help?
[P.S'> he is applying for a lawyer position at Emirates.
