Right. I started the C25K and stopped due to illness...never got going again. I bought the 30 Day Shred and never put it in the DVD player. I lack motivation and will-power so...

I've met a few girls here in Aus who have had MASSIVE success with Michelle's 12WBT and I'm going to give Round 3 a try. I am much better at committing to something when it has cost me money (this one is about $20 per week for 12 weeks or $199 up front). It's in Pre-Season now getting ready for a mid Sept start. It's a 12 week challenge where you receive menu plans, shopping lists, fitness challenges, weekly live chat with Michelle, podcasts, a support forum etc etc

Have a look at:
http://michellebridges.com.au/
www.12wbt.com/
https://www.facebook.com/12wbt

Anyone keen to join me??

I'm planning to renew the Gym membership (it runs out this month). I'm also gonna do the C25K programme. as right now I'd pass out if i tried to run any distance! Its my birthday the end of sept, and i had been asking for an Ipad, but im seriously thinking of swapping this request for a Wii and Wii fit..... good idea, or will it just be a fad I wont use? I've been thinking about cookbooks, which is her best one? I'm hoping to find something on Amazon which my neighbour will bring back after EID.

Welcome aboard Sunfairy! Will have to google where Al Ain is *blush* - just arrived here 2 weeks ago. I need to spend more time on the forum. To date, all I've done is introduce myself and put my name down on the Dubai thread. We joined the local gym (as a family) and went for the first time tonight. My kids swam while I did a very quick workout. Think I'm not going to push myself too hard until the challenge starts, just let my body get used to exercising again as I haven't been to the gym since about April I think and I don't want to cause any injuries. I have a knee issue (tore a patella doing squats on the treadie a couple of years ago - how stupid was that? Has not been the same since) and a shoulder issue (bursitis) so I am going to have to think about modifying my programme to cope with these areas of weakness. The knee I can strap, but the shoulder is sore tonight after rowing for only 5 mins. I was listening to one of the PTs at the gym tonight coach a member and I wasn't very impressed. Ah well, hopefully there's a few PT's to choose from and if not, there's always books to work out a decent weights programme. Where are you all working out? Are you doing it at gyms or at home? Do you have Michelle Bridge's Crunch Time Cook Book? I've recently ordered it from the Book Depositry. Am having an Ozzie Calorie Counter Book sent over from home as I couldn't find it online.

'Fraid not. I'm British. However my friend in Perth recommended 12wbt (I'd never heard of it) and having failed at other ways of getting slim - mainly faddy diets, I decided to give it's go, and I'm looking forward to getting fit and thin all at once. :-) That is great - the more the merrier. I'm from Perth too. I think the other ladies have already got their A into G!

BMAP - Lorna Jane outlet??? YAY!! Time to start saving! Two Kids - http://www.lornajane.com.au/ :D Start shopping! Really good quality at not bad prices, even full retail. CAN'T wait to see the outlet. Good for you Dan Lou!! I went for a short C25K run this morning straight after school and kindy drop off, then picked my son up and walked with him to and from kindy to collect the girls. Not a long walk by any stretch, but better than driving. DanLou...new "12WBT" thread has opened too. :D

Welcome BMAP! I am in Dubai too. Green-ish - my sister is a fantastic runner (London & Melbourne marathons in around 3 hrs) and she swears by Adidas shoes. They are very reasonably priced IMO. Ladies, I do not even know who Lorna Jane is! Am I too old or young, or is it just because I am from the West Coast?:-) I have not done anything yet but sign up. I am in the contemplation stage, if you know the 5 stages of change!

Morning ladies, just back from gym! Only a quickie whilst kids are still on holiday but geez it felt SO good. Just 30mins jog/walk but I loved it. I have a HRM and love seeing the calories add up. I know once the round starts that the workouts are fairly full-on and time consuming so I'm just going to do a different cardio machine for 30mins each day until the start. I've also been on the boards a bit, taking away inspiration but also contributing. It all feels good. Welcome BMAP, how awesome for your friend to be in the top 10! I was actually in Brisbane when the finale was on and planned to go but chickened out when I didn't achieve what I planned. I'm thinking about the next one though....

Thanks Green-ish. You are on the sunny coast, yes? I love the idea of getting Lorna Jane gear as part of your treats. DId you know there was a Lorna Jane at DFO near the airport? My mate just spent a small fortune thre but got a heap of stuff - apparently there are some excellent reductions!

Welcome aboard BMAP!! Awesome work by your Top 10 friend! I love hearing all of the success stories. Well done Dan!! So you should JFDI. Lol...now get on the Forum and do your pre-season tasks. You've got some excuses to sort through. :D I called in to price new running shoes this morning (EEK) as I'll have to work them in the budget. Then I popped into a Lorna Jane shop to check out all of the treats I'll save and by for myself, once I can fit in Lorna Jane gear! I'm thinking a whole new turquoise work-out wardrobe.... LET'S DO IT GIRLS!! :D

Oh my gosh! some of you are doing it! I signed up a couple of weeks back. One of my besties in Oz did the last round - came in the top 10 and wow! Her mental and physical transformation is incredible! Anyway, she was at me to sign up for the last round, but with everything going on in relation to our move to Dubai, there was no point. But this time... I am on the programme! :-D Mind if I join in on any discussions you have?

Okay Green-ish, you win, I just signed up! No, in all fairness I had planned to but I'm the queen of procrastination and would wait until eid, would wait until the kitchen is organised, would wait until hubby's home so I can gym properly, would wait until the night before, etc, etc. You name it I'd find an excuse instead of JFDI'ing! Anyway thanks for the kick up the behind, a reminder that people out there are Achieving, whilst I'm sitting around Planning!! I think Mich even talked about it last season, something about Paralysis by Analysis. Me to a tee! So do you mind if we start a new thread entitled 12wbt? To be entirely selfish, then it would be small and easy to find with this new font?

I think I hopped on that forum (my name is EE) but didn't find it very useful. I haven't signed up yet so I can't check if it's the same one. Got a few full days coming up but will sit down over Eid and get it done! Have stocked the pantry with loads of fresh fruit and vege and getting the house sorted after being away. [b'> Can't wait, wish it was starting sooner![/b'> That's actually what I am enjoying about the 12WBT Forum. During pre-season, everyone IS already doing 'it'. So many people talking about the diet and exercise changes they have already made. So many talking about the weight loss they are already experiencing just by getting into the right mindset. It's only 11 days in and brand new beginners (people just like me) are already seeing changes for the better. :D I know myself well enough to know that I'm getting completely into the whole thing because I have money invested in it. I'm on the waiting list at the library for Michelle's books but for now I have a couple of other books that are getting me off on the right direction. I've made some simple diet changes and got the treadmill set up and ready for new early morning starts before the children get up...C25K starting again tomorrow. :) Enjoy the Eid break, and see you in 12WBT soon!

I'm happy to do whatever works. We might even find more Middle East 12WBTers on the forums? Living over there brings a few unique challenges so we could just keep supporting each other here on EW and see who we can collect on the 12WBT forums? I'll pop over there now and see who's around. :D

Hello ladies, I have just signed up! I love the Biggest Loser series and Michelle Bridges. I need to lose my post-baby, new to Dubai weight:) Excellent to have you on board TwoKids!! I need to work on my post-three-babies-five-years-in-Dubai weight! It seems just coming back to Aus and the more outdoorsy lifestyle is not enough! :D

And then there were 3! Welcome TwoKids and hi again Green-ish, so how do we best do this? Start a new thread "12wbt" and just post when it suits us? Exchange emails? Meet on FB? On the forum? I'm open to any and all ideas, I'm just not going to blog like I did last time, too time consuming! And to quote Mich, JFDI!! So for me it's going to be less talk and more DOing! I'm feeling all virtuous today, it's my first full day back after Summer and have just done 30min workout of Shannen and Michelle's Fit & Firm (it's all I could reasonably manage with kids joining me, then wanting a snack then nagging about pooltime!) and am now sitting down to egg white vegie omelette. Of course last night we had pizza....but today's the start! Going to logon later and do the pre-season tasks. If I can offer any advice, it's this: Do these tasks and watch all the mindset videoes. Good food is good, exercise is great but I really think your mind is the best weapon in this war! Hope everyone's having a good day thus far! (Green-ish, we moved to Doha a year ago and whilst we don't love it DH has a good job and we're making the most of doing a bit of travel. You may not recall but he actually went to Afghanistan for a year the previous year so as much as I'm not a Doha fan, it's a huge improvement on that arrangement! We miss Dubai but go back every so often so we can't complain. Hope all's well in Oz and you guys continue to enjoy it.)

Oh Yay!! SO good to know you're on board too. And THANK YOU for the tips. I'm already a big fan of cooking in bulk and freezing easy meals. No reason I can't have two pots on the go...spag bol for the kids and soup for me. :) Just reading the forum during the very start of pre-season, I keep thinking that I may become a wee bit addicted and spend so much time trying to keep up with all of the online stuff that I'll lose the time I should be exercising! :D This past weekend Michelle ran a massive exercise class at Ballymore in Brisbane. I absolutely LOVE it that she really gets involved. The girls I know who have done the 12 weeks before, really feel like Michelle is on their team...that she's genuinely, personally invested in every one of her clients. I must say, bl**dy brilliant business woman too!!! (As an aside...Doha?? I must have missed all of that! Hope all is well with you. xx) edited by Green-ish on 22/08/2011

Hi Greenish, i'm in! I did Round 2 but only the first 4 weeks, lost 5kgs and was even doing a blog! Then I came to Oz and couldn't get in as much "training" as I liked, but I did "maintain" as opposed to putting on like I usually do. I'm heading home on Wednesday and will then do the pre-season tasks and get sorted for Round 3. What I love about her program is that it addresses the mind as well as the body. I really like exercise so I like that side of it and calorie counting keeps things simple after years of calculating ww "points" I'm happy to find something a bit simpler. Just a word of warning, and I'm not sure if your friends have said this but I do find it kind of all consuming. From doing the tasks, watching videoes to grocery shopping (difficult in Doha!) and cooking different meals from the kids I do find it fairly busy. But hey, no one ever said losing 15kgs should be easy! The only thing I would change from what she says to eat daily is find the recipes you love and make 3 or 4 times the version so on the lazy nights you just want to give the kids sausages & mash, you can fall back on the freezer for your own version. I know you have your hands full too. I'm a soup girl and usually make a mega batch of both the Broccoli Soup and Cauliflower Soup each week. Sorry this wasn't meant to be a novel but I really love her program, her enthusiasm and the online support. Weekly videoes and mid-week videoes are like they're talking directly to you, just goes to show that we all struggle and seem to be More Similar than we are Different. Good luck, we can start a thread once it gets started?
