Aargh....ladies I am slightly scared as I am +6 days so my doctor has booked me in for an induction tonight at 9pm at Medcare. Has anyone else had an induction? I am predicting it is going to be a long process but trying to stay positive. I have a mixture of feelings going through my head at the moment since this is our first! It just doesn't seem real. Especially because I had so many labour symptoms the week before last and then very little last week. X

Hello ladies! I need help on where to find gripe water. Have looked in organic cafe but they said they never had any!!! Has anyone recently bought some?! Thnx for letting me know as DD has not been sleeping due to pain in her tommy...., hopefully can get some soon to calm her down.:) We've just started using something called Colicaid which seems to be working really well. Think you can get it in most pharmacies. HTH :)

Congrats everyone! Great to read how well everyone is getting on with their new arrivals! Amy, Im so happy for you that everything was a breeze! Was thinking of you and hoping all would be ok! Well, our beautiful little bundle, Misha Fatima arrived safe and sound on 2nd July via c-section. Dr Elsa was amazing, as always, and Misha is healthy and happy! She's just the most amazing little thing I've ever seen and we're just so in love with her! I'm feeling great too (apart from the lack of sleep!). The c-section wasn't half as bad as I'd expected. Was up and out of bed same day. Had a few probs from my spinal but all sorted now and feeling like i haven't even had surgery! :) Bamby, it sounds like we got off to a similar start on the feeding front but thankfully we seem to have it sussed now. Hope things are getting better for you too! Good luck to all those who are still waiting to meet their little ones! Looking forwards to reading more updates! xx

Aaahhh so wonderful to read all these birth announcements!!! Congrats to all the new Mummies :D Amy - definitely green with envy, but so happy to hear you had such a short and wonderful delivery! All is still well with us, DD on track with feeding/sleeping & weight gain! I'm finding I need to get out of the house every few days though, as cabin fever starts to sink in and I became a lunatic ;) Not sure how we are going to get through the summer though, but somehow need to figure something out! There are 3 of us that need entertaining - DD1, DD2 and myself...not sure who needs the company more :) All the best for the rest of the upcoming births xxx

Hi ladies, Congratulations on all new arrivals and hope mummies and babies are all doing well. Alexandra Yasmin was born on 5 th of July at city hospital. We came home on Monday. Sevis an angel and all she does is sleep and eat! I have started pumping in hospital due to weight loss of DD, so that we can monitor how much she is eating, and god it's painful! Breaks feeding directly even worse, my little girl falls asleep on my breast..... So it takes hours.......! Being a first time mom , every moment of it is interestinand new to me:) love it!:) Last night though, we had the first experience of " colic" baby, well we think that's what it was!! Good luck to the rest of you and welcome to the world you little ones!:) xxx City hospital and the staff were absolutely fantastic! Could not have a better experience!

Hi ladies, My little princess named Aaliyah Nora was born on Wednesday at 12.50pm, weighing a healthy 8lb 5oz (3.7kg). We would have been discharged the next day, but she needed to be observed as she has jaundice due to ABO incompatability ... we have different blood groups so it can lead to some problems. They were happy with her progress today and discharged us but I have to bring her back again on Sunday for further tests. The midwives/doctor at American Hospital were fantastic and I had a really great delivery. I am very happy to be home, even if it is all a bit chaotic! Good luck to everyone else! xx

Congrats AmyAus! Wow, that does sound like the dream delivery to me! Glad to hear your little one has arrived safely. I am now 2 days over and having lots of heavy cramps ... maybe I should check if the head is popping out, LOL.

Happy July everyone! I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good babysitter in the marina area? This request is on behalf of my friend for her 13 month old. Normally I look after her for short periods of time and she is no trouble at all, but I am due any day now (actual due date this sunday) so am unable to risk it anymore. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

I am 39+5 and all week at work I have 'oh you are still here' etc etc. Mind you most of them almost die of shock when I say I am due on Saturday! How I wish I was at home resting this week. Lovely to hear you are all doing well and welcome to the July babies!

Congratulations nappymom!!! Enjoy babbymoon! Hope the milk supply is still good and baby gaining weight nicely by now. My DD lost more than 10% first few days after birth but catching up again. Can we have the name of the baby for our July list? :) Plumie glad to hear BF is going really well. How is your DD1 behaving these days? It's nice to have a calmer baby 2nd time around. Same here. :) Can't believe DD just sleeps and eats so far. Makes it easier comparing to what I expected from previous experience with DS. My recovery this time was great as well. I don't know if it was the planned CS comparing with the ECS last time or that I took arnica (some people say it works some not) but after 2 weeks I feel almost back to normal. BF going great as well so I'm really pleased with our start. How are you feeling these days AmyAus? And how is everyone else? Hoping you're all well and healthy and looking forward to read more posts. Edited to ask for nappymum-baby name :) edited by pancakemum on 04/07/2012

Congratulations to all new mums! It has been a week and happy to say that babe and I are doing great. We had a rough start with breast feeding with very low supply that we had to go back the day after we were discharged as they need to check baby's weight again (she had a 11% weight loss after birth). As of the moment our milk supply is good. For those mums who gave birth at City we may have met during the physiotherapy class :) All the best to those waiting for the bub's appearance

Hey - how are all the new arrivals doing? And how are the Mumma's coping with Motherhood? Hope all is well and healthy with everyone! Good luck to all the upcoming births next week! I was discharged on Wednesday morning, there was no way I was going to lay another day in that bed! My recovery went well and DD2 was healthy as a bean, so there was not much reason for looking at those 4 walls anymore ;) My milk also came in fast & string on wednesday and boy oh boy - did I forget how painful it can be!!! Touch wood BF'ing is going really really well and DD2 took to it like a pro! Little Missy literally sleeps and eats the whole day, probably 18hrs out of a 24hr day at the moment! We are indeed counting our blessings, as we know how rough it can be, DD1 was no walk in the park from the minute she was born! Hope to read some lovely updates from the rest of the new Mums :P
