now I am going to be looking everywhere for this poor lion to let it loose.. Get pictures and address then give it to the authorities. Just make sure the owner doesn't grab you instead and keep you in his cages with the animal! I meant, just be careful. I absolutely will, I am getting up now to put my camera in the car in case. I am ill today and not going out but the moment I feel better I am going to be on the lookout!

We live in Jum 3 and there's a cheetah or lion (hard to tell in the dark) in a cage in front of a villa. So sad to see it walk back and forth in the cage. I'm not sure if it's still there. Oh no are you serious? We are in Jumeirah 3 as well, now I am going to be looking everywhere for this poor lion to [b'>let it loose[/b'>.. ahhhhhhhhhhh !!!! i hope not... lol

And I stumbled upon this a few days back. http://dubai-city.classi4uae.com/ad/pets-for-sale-bengal-tiger-cheetah-and-lion-cubs-available-for-sale-pid6151 (Bengal tigers? Arent they endangered too?) Not sure if it is illegal. How can anyone openly advertise if it was? edited by hiccup on 02/02/2012

hi ladies, when you can PLEASE REPORT !!!! hiccup, if you find the ad, a user "nath" posted this once when we saw baby cheetahs being advertised on Dubizzle, "call 800900 log a complaint and get a reference and call 0503455128 ''ADel'' Dubai Municipality Inspector.". I know Richard Thomas would respond as well.

If it's not legal then the owner will get the death penalty... when the lion grows up and eats him (could happen!). We can live in hope lol

Did you get their numberplate number? Maybe you can report it. Poor baby cub. :( I was a bit zapped seeing a lion cub in a car! Didn't think of getting the number plate :(

We saw one in the back of a 4 x 4 during the National Day parade. People were spraying foam at it.

It surprises me that someone managed to get an endangered specie for a pet! I came across an ad the other day selling Bengal tiger cubs and other tiger and cheetah cubs. I am not sure how old that ad was though. edited by hiccup on 02/02/2012

Are you sure?? Seeing as they're so rare, I doubt it's legal.

A white one? White lions are very rare. Only a small amount of them left in the world. I doubt it is legal but you never know here....
