Hi there, I was thinking of taking the kids for a picnic at the weekend, but have heard the rules have changed! Anyone have any updates or been there recently? TIA!

Still not clear, I am almost afraid to go and get the kids hopes up! No picnics at all? Really??? I am already past the point where I just want to go and live somewhere normal but this really is the final straw.............

So, accepting that one absolutely cannot have fun of any sort there, what is the dress code this week, as opposed to last when all this started? Is it really sports dress or Burkas? I want to know if its worth a trip at all. The ban on picnics seems quite harsh given that a lot of Qataris used to do this, or is the rule not universal?

don't forget you also can't wear jeans, or a skirt, or flip flops or a long sleeved shirt. and you can't; fly a kite hold a big balloon have a birthday party sit by the pond have fun in general....

Play musical statues all day. Brilliant idea :-) - but they would probably say that music is "not allowed'......!

Aspire Park is lovely, but you and your kids aren't allowed to: Picnic Play ball games Skateboard Ride scooters Ride bikes Climb trees Feed, or approach, the ducks Take the family dog We've been told off for doing all the above (except taking the family dog, which we knew about before hand so she had to stay home) and have decided it simply wasn't worth the agro.... I really wonder what they think people SHOULD be doing in parks! Play musical statues all day.
