I bought this spa voucher from #groupon promising a very high discount. I could only get an appointment after 2 weeks and of course not during the weekend, not even a week day after 6pm. I went to the location and found that it was a new small spa. I had waxing then massage. The waxing session was a disaster, I felt **** of pain and got burn in my under arm. The massage wasn’t as terrible but it wasn’t great. Since then, I am not using the services of any deal website. How were your experiences? Where do you go normally and how do you find the right spas, beauty salons in the price range you want?

Have used 2 of the entertainer vouchers at the Westin, really lovely treatments and helpful staff. Would go back and pay full price. Grovesnor House and Cleopatre's also very good.

For great massage, I recommend Natural Healing Spa along Al Wasl. Deep tissue masssage is great. I second that, I've been going to NHS for the past 3 years now and have tried several other places before. A nice relaxing day out I had at Cleopatra's Spa at Wafi. They have a jacuzzi and relaxing area that you can use before and after your massage. I've heard great things about the spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and want to go at some stage soon, in case anyone has feedback for that one??? Yes the Zabeel Saray ottoman spa is AMAZING!!!! ---- http://thelulladiaries.blogspot.com/2012/12/spa-time.html

Hi, If you have a look on the entertainer website and see a spa that you fancy from the mind & body book then you are welcome to any vouchers I have left. They run out at the end of march and I have loads left. You are welcome to them if you can pick up from the marina. S

There is also a new site www.wellnesia.com where you can even book your treatment online. All spas/salons in this site seem to be good ones: kempinski spa, angsana…I used their voucher once and had good experience (hamam with Radisson marina spa). Hope this help! Lynda

Thank you ladies for your suggestions. one more question: is there a website where I can find reviews of different spas/salons? Try Time Out - www.timeoutdubai.com They review spa's and include deals every week and also people are allowed to add in their own reviews as well.

I have totally stopped buying discount vouchers from websites after terrible customer service from Cobone (I gave them the opportunity to resolve the issue but they obviously did not want to). For spa and beauty treatments the Entertainer Body Book has some good deals but not worth buying now as the current vouchers expire at the end of March. Also quite a few places now have websites / facebook pages that advertise special offers.

Things like waxing, threading, nails I always go to tips & toes and have never had a problem. For a real spa treat Talise at Al Qasr is a winner and usually in the body book

Just read an article in The National about Sister's Beauty Lounge. Made me want to go there this very instant. Any experiences from EW? Which location? edited by Oopsiedaisy on 13/02/2013

Usually word of mouth I won't use a voucher until i know someone that has already used it and given positive feedback We hear of so many horror stories on here about salons
