Looking in all the baby stores for one of these and have yet to find one :

Doesn't have to be this exact brand/design. Anyone seen one around?

Lynette, good question...if you figure out the answer, let me know! ;) Seriously though, its not really an easy task but you just have to work your way around it. Here's all the ways I've tried/considered: 1. wear a baby front-carrier so your hands are free to push cart, pay bill, etc. I've never done this but I heard it can be hard picking up things from lower shelves when you're wearing baby. I guess you can ask a nice shopper around you to help with that? 2. Take baby in stroller and place items in buggy underneath the stroller. Personally, I don't feel comfortable doing this but have seen other people do it. 3. Take baby in stroller and pull a small basket with wheels (the ones with the long handles) or carry basket in hand. This is tricky if you are planning to buy a lot or heavy groceries. But for a few small items, its the best way. 4. Put baby in car seat and prop car seat on handles of shopping cart or place in side shopping cart. When the car seat is up on the handles, its a bit wobbly! In the States, all the grocery carts were compatible with car seats and they would just lock in. Here, the cart size differs from store to store. After trial and error , I know which stores I can do this with. Its the best option for me, because it keeps the cart open for groceries and baby is right in front of me, all in one! If you place the car seat inside the cart, of course you don't have as much space but you can always use the bottom of the cart too. 5. And the final and best option, drag along an older sibling, friend, spouse, maid, etc. to push the stroller while you push the grocery cart. I've tried dragging the cart behind me while pushing the stroller and I was a mess! Maybe I'm just not coordinated enough for it! But my baby is just about old enough to sit in the front of the cart (YAY!) so Im desperately looking for the cover so I can be free of this shopping-with-baby logistical drama, lol. Thank you for such a well-written answer. It covers all the options I have thought of. 1). I wonder if I will ever be able to wear a front-carrier comfortably as I weigh 90 kgs.. </3 but I will sure try. 2). My friend use to do this. But she was never able to keep all the stuff down there.. 3). Yes for a few items, this can sure work.. 4). Naaaaa.. My trolley hardly ever has space. 5). Yes, maybe shop with a friend or someone.. But who would bother every month!! I have seen those trolleys with seats built-in.. I saw those at spinneys in Springs. And I was thinking if I can find a cover for those baby-seats, it can make things easier.

A quick one.. How do u guys manage grocery shopping with a newborn.. Like assuming you have no help at all.. Do u take ur strollers, but then how do u move the trolley? Is there something of this kind for newborns too? A naive mom-to-be..

Lynette, it really is!! I had one back home for my older kids and it had all these toys and pockets, it really kept them busy and distracted. not to mention, kept the germs outta their mouths! Di@DXB: thanks so much for the link! Its not quite what I was looking for, but if I can't find anything else, I'll take it. thanks! Thanks!! edited by BintNizam123 on 11/07/2013
