We are trying to arrange a holiday with some friends and there will be 2 kids in the group (will be aged 3 and 9 months) - obviously we will all want to spend time with the children but we would also like to make sure there is a kids club for the older one so he can have fun with other children too on some of the days - also we want there to be a good babysitting service so that their parents can have a few drinks on a couple of the nights and know that they don't have to worry about the morning as they could book a sitter. They don't get much of a break so they would like to have a bit of an opportunity to let their hair down once or twice because they are not the kind of people to be handing their kids over all the time so they don't get much alone time or adult time with their friends.

Looking at Cambodia, Vietnam or somewhere in that direction as none of us have been there. Can anyone recommend a nice beach hotel with great childcare facilities and activities but also nice for adults?

Thanks in advance!

be aware that some places in vietnam are at malaria risk so dont take young kids etc unless u want to take the pills etc to be on safe side.

We used the Victoria Hotel chain - they were brilliant, and there "packages" are great as you are the only people and its bot mass tourism!

Thanks for the replies guys, I will take a look. abby_n_christina - unless Warren is up for some babysitting then I don't think it is a good option for this time as one of the kids is just a baby but it looks fantastic so will definitely store it in my future places to visit list, looks like an amazing place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors!

if you want to consider a farm stay (great experience for the kids... mine had to be bribed back!) have a look at this place in Chiang Mai (north of Thailand)... it's called www.thungdongfarmstay.com get in touch with the owner... his name's Warren and he's from the UK... he's a lovely old chap! :)
