Bit late to the party but here is my experience....we moved Dubai to UK at the end of May. I got several quotes and decided to use DASA/Abels (after bad moving experience with Allied Pickfords). I cannot recommend them highly enough! A team of 5 took 2 days to pack up our 2 bed apartment in Dubai; including artworks, piano, etc. They took note of everything I highlighted & constantly kept in touch with me during the pack. At the UK end Ables were fantastic in terms of communication. The unpacking team were professional and survived on endless cups of tea. All our stuff arrived intact. Not a single crack or break. Also the quote DASA gave me was cheaper than Crown & contained no nasty surprises We also moved our cat back. We used Pet Relocators (Riza). She was a couple of thousand AED's cheaper than DKC. Fabulous service and a relaxed kitty at the other end. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks We used Acorn Movers from Dubai to the UK recently, they were a lot cheaper than the better known names you mention, I can try get you the price we paid if you like, I dont have the details to hand. Dubai side team were efficient and on time, delivery in the UK was by another firm, they were very helpful with timing the container arrival to our needs. We had a couple of minor breakages, mainly glassware and china. Overall we were happy. <em>edited by chezmoi on 23/02/2015</em>
