I think the school you're referring to is Dovecote Green Primary School in the Green community. It's open now but only one class. It will open properly next September.

2 bedroom flat for a family of three and a maid? bit tight isn't it? It's actually a family of 2 and a maid. Useless post as always.

Is this really a question? The answer is pretty simple. Most of the maids you call are working so while they juggle their work they are also talking to you. Why waste your time with a 20 minute telephone interview only to find out in the end the employer is a nationality you don't want to work with? Are you saying you dont have nationality preferences when you look for work? Seriously? C'mon. These posts are so censored and politically correct that they are hardly the truth!

Stop thinking, stop doubting yourself. And pick up where you left off. That would be my advice. She will be amazed of how quick she will pick up things again. And 18 months is not that long.. Wish her luck! Nice simple advice. Thank you. I shall pass it on. :) I hope others can share too their experiences and advice.

Where do I go for personal loans in dubai? Khawoosha please enquire in Geant. You have to go to the customer service till. They deal with all loans there. If they seem hesitant to help please dont give up. Ask them for a loan. As you know English is not everyones first language here.

My little one's personality is the same so I understand how you feel. I find he's more acceptant if I sit down and talk him through a change thats about to occur. I'll explain it to him and what he will do. I ask him if he can please do it for me. I show videos, read him related books. For example right now we're reading a story book about potty training. Goodluck!

I didnt mean parent being physically called in although as a working parent myself if my sons nursery called us in once a month to talk about his progress, I'd be very happy to go. Essentially what I mean is a school climate and structure that supports family involvement. Things like childrens work being sent home regularly, parents being included during major changes within the school, getting back to parent concerns in a timely manner, fundraising events, newsletters, bring a parent to school day and so on. As an example in the UK our school had an online resource centre that provided parents with materials on issues of concern such as child development, special education, health and safety, danger of drugs etc. It was very informative for parents. Parent involvement isnt just calling in parents to the school all the time which I understand can be difficult for some. edited by Hungry_Caterpillar on 04/04/2015

I wrote them an email after my order to let them know that they should only deliver if the items are genuine otherwise I will report them and have the site shut down. They replied by saying of course their products were real and why would they risk getting into trouble with the authorities? I then asked them for a contact telephone number for their business as theres only an email address on their site. They never got back to me! They seem to be running a smart con. The website is set up from Japan so it has no links to Dubai. Once the item is delivered, its its fake and you report them nothing can be done. There isnt a telephone number or a registered business address to trace. You cant trace the website either as its cleverly set up in Japan. Avoid!

Hello diamonds bye: I have a 2.5 year old and sometimes find juggling just one child with full time work a challenge and thats with having a full time nanny at home. In terms of school help if you dont want to hire a maid then you can enrol your eldest into after school clubs and the youngest into full day care at the nursery. Pick up and drop offs can be shared between yourself and DH. Workwise there isnt much besides working in a school that can provide flexible working conditions. Having said that I recently moved from a school environment to a large FMCG. They have a relaxed environment and they offer options of working from home upto twice a week. Another option would be start your own business if you have a desired skill set. I dont think you should feel pressured to work just so that family and friends ease their expectations. I wouldnt want to leave my children and DH for months on end nor would I want to take my children out of school. Its a pretty simple explanation.

Someone else also mentioned Green Community to me as the new location. Green community is near DIP. Not long till we find out! I feel sorry for those parents who have been forced to pay a deposit one week before they announce their relocation.

Hi ladies, DS loves marine life and water parks and so we are taking him to Atlantis for a 2 day staycation. I want to make the most of our time there and wanted to find out if there's anything you recommend doing or avoiding while there? Has anyone attended their Easter celebrations in the past? Are they good? Dining wise what's affordable there? Thanks!

Thats not very fair is it? Location is also a big consideration when choosing a school. How can you just decide without knowing where it will even be? Have you called the registrar and asked to have the deadline pushed till the announcement next week. If they are making such impractical rules about securing a spot before they announce the relocation it makes me wonder if the school is somewhere out in the sticks.

I'm looking to take DS on the monorail to Atlantis. Is the monorail still running 7 days a week? Can someone please help me with directions to find the 'Palm Gateway' station parking. Is the parking there free? I'm a bit simple when it comes to getting to new places. Do you think it would be better to just park at Atlantis and take him on the monorail at some point of the day? Whether we park at Atlantis or Palm Gateway we will still end up needing to get return monorail tickets.

I hope your LO gets better soon. I would highly recommend Dr Talal Farha. He's so kind and gentle. When he first met my DS he put a nursery rhyme on from Youtube. He took his time getting to know DS and he wasn't at all pushy. He asked for DS's permission before checking him and although DS was absolutely silent he felt safe. He smiled and nodded back to Dr Talal. If you need someone a bit more central then Dr Rania at Infinity Clinic in Jumeirah is also absolutely lovely. Good luck.
