Are you working currently? If so, for Saudi, we seem to be working on matching current UK salary, but then adding in Medical, housing, (schooling - prob not relevant), initial relocation and return flight once/year, plus a 30-40% "Hardship" allowance. This hardship rating might be lower in Oman, as I suspect it is easier to get people to relocate to Muscat than Riyadh! Basically, look at your cost of living, and make sure your better off. For us, after rent/bills, in Saudi, cost of living seems similar, but very different balance - petrol here very cheep, food can be cheep, but we buy some very expensive imported breakfast cereals etc.

Hi All, I've been asked to provide expectations for salary range/package for an Environmental Consultant job I applied for. It's in Muscat, Oman. I've been trying to research it online and find out what reasonable salary ranges are for an Environmental Consultant with 3.5 years of experience. According to the posting i'd be doing site assessments and reporting. Any advice on a reasonable salary range or thinks I should make sure to request would be appreciated! Thanks in advance,
