Hi. New here. Do you have any personal reviews on IVF centers? We’re having a hard time deciding where to go. Thanks.

I'm also looking for the best IVF clinic in Dubai for my sister, she will come to Dubai next month and she is looking for the best IVF clinic in Dubai.
The best clinic in Dubai is Doctor Amal Alias Fertility and Gynecology center. I got pregnant with twins and gender selection.

Hi Gracie, I'm so sorry to hear of your terrible situation, it must have been awful! Apologies I should have bit a bit more clear in my post. I didn't actually have OHSS, I was just at risk of having it, so they didn't want to risk doing a fresh transfer. On my first cycle, I used Gonal F (225ml) I responded well to it, and they managed to collect 18 eggs, however a lot of my eggs weren't mature enough and we ended up with 3 embryos. The second cycle Dr. Pankaj, wanted me to use Menapur injections, as he said it can improve the egg quality, which it did slightly. They retrieved 25 eggs and we currently have 5 good quality embryos. I was also taking DHEA and Bio Q supplements to try and improve my egg quality as well. I always said my first cycle would be a trial cycle and if it didn't work they could learn from it and tweak some changes for the next time. Im sure whichever Doctor/clinic you go to they will learn from your previous experience and they will avoid following the same protocol as your first cycle. Wishing you lots of luck!! Keep us posted! xx

Hi Gracie, Firstly I hope you are doing ok. Doing what you are is a big deal as I know only too well having done 2 rounds of IVF myself in Dubai. We went to Fakih and to be honest have had a very positive experience. We saw Dr Ghina first - who was good but not my favourite....The second time I saw the newest member of the team Dr Varsha and am now pregnant (20 wks) with twins! She's young and knows her stuff and has Dr Fakih as a mentor which I really liked. I liked the fact you could have a laugh with her and that she's a bit of a girly girl too like me so could talk to her very easily. I would have no hesitations in recommending her or the clinic. I work full time and also found them to be very flexible with scheduling. Just a note - I was not given progesterone injections after transfer first time, yet second time I was and firmly believe that is what made the difference. Just maybe worth you knowing this and asking about it ahead of time. Really good luck with whichever clinic you choose and if you wanted more details of what I went through I'm more than happy to share. All the best Hi vyvyan13 Congratulations to you!! I'm so glad things worked well for you. I have undergone a severe ohss cycle before and hence all the dread and terror for the next round. Will be going to Fakih to consult. have you heard anything about Dr Karunakar marikinti at Fakih Dubai. His bio says he's experienced in complex cases but any personal reviews will be more helpful. Thanks. Hi Gracie, Thank you! I'm sorry but I don't have any experience with Dr Karunakar. Dr Varsha this last time and now under Dr Fakih (the nephew not the main guy), for OB care. Definitely worth a consultation with the clinic though. Think I also read you were thinking about acupuncture? I did this too after the first round failed. Went to the Dubai herbal and treatments centre http://www.dubaihtc.com and saw Dr Maria (think that's right), who's a fertility expert. She gave me a bunch of herbal pills for a course of 6 weeks and I had acupuncture twice a week up to and during second round treatment. Again to share some advice that I believe worked for me is to keep hands and feet warm. Poor circulation apparently was making my fertility situation worse. After last transfer I wore ski socks round the house for 10 days! She also told me to not drink anything cold and no dairy. Not sure if this will help you but want to pass on any snippets I can! Wishing you all the luck in the world. Xx

Hi Gracie - I had a cycle with Bourn Hall last December. I have decreased ovarian reserve and the treatment did not work very well - we only had 2 eggs & sadly they did not fertilise. Total opposite to OHSS! I was with Dr Dimitry but he has now left there - not sure why; all very mysterious. I really liked Dr Dimitry so decided to move to another clinic. I am meeting Dr Ahmad Fakih from Fakih Clinic this week-end and will see what we think of him. I have already met Dr Pankaj from Conceive. He was successful with a friend of a friend so we might try Conceive. Our only, slightly ridiculous, reservation with Conceive is the room in Sharjah where the male gives his sample is a small bathroom off the waiting room - my hubby did not like the sound of that at all!!! The great thing with Conceive is they can freeze the eggs so if needed you can have a FET at a later stage. Bourn Hall is very swanky with great facilities and lovely staff. The cost for ICSI was 37K plus you pay extra for any hormone tests. I liked the team there and felt well looked after but my acupuncturist, Dr Ou said they were a little old fashioned in their techniques and applied the same treatment to everyone ie. high dosage. From my research, I think I might be better with low dose and they did not want to consider this option. I have no other reason not to trust their skills and really wish everyone luck with whoever they are going with. As Vyvyan says this is a big deal. For me, this whole thing seems like a lottery done by mad scientists! Good luck to all couples going through this - big hugs xxxxxx Hi ch00ba Thanks for sharing your experience. I hope things work out for you this time out. It is quite a big deal indeed!! Do let me know how your appointment goes at Fakih. I am of the understanding that you can go for egg freezing in Dubai as well. It's embryo freezing which isn't allowed here. So in that case if at all there are more eggs retrieved you can get them freezes and use them for a FET cycle later on if you want. By the way, how has been your experience with acupuncture. I am considering it and thinking of contacting one. would you recommend yours? How expensive are the sessions? And how many are ideally needed to make a difference. Best wishes..xx

Hi Gracie, I am currently undergoing my second cycle of ICSI with Conceive. The reason we chose them in the first place, was because Dr. Pankaj came recommended by 2 couples who had success with him. I'll be completely honest with you, during my first cycle I absolutely hated conceive, I felt that both JLT and Sharjah clinics were poorly run and there was no organisation! As I am still working full time, I have to go for all scans etc on my lunch breaks, I would be promised it would be a 20 min appointment, but 2 hours later still be there! After our failed cycle we decided to go to Faikh for a consultation, before I could even sit down, the doctor was already trying to up sell us and I got the feeling there was no patient care and it was all about money! We also had to wait around for ages there too. Going to Faikh really put things into perspective for us and we decided to stick with Dr. Pankaj! Im really glad we did, the appointments are less stressful now as they have an extra doctor so no waiting around! The nurses and doctors are lovely in JLT clinic and will literally do anything for you! Id love to tell you that I have a success story with them but I'm currently waiting to do my FET as I couldn't do a fresh one due to overstimulation. I'm sure you will choose the one which feels right to you and I agree maybe book a few consultations to see what you think. sending you loss of luck xx Hi Nicole 87 Thanks a lot for your message. Can you please tell me what kind of protocol was followed for you. Like which meds/injections etc during the cycle you over stimulated. I hope you feel better now and I wish you all the best for your FET.

Hi Gracie, I'm sorry I can't offer any advice on the two you mentioned but I do have personal experience with another. We recently used DGFC (dubai gynaecology and fertility centre) in Healthcare City for an IVF cycle. Doctor and nurses were lovely and very professional. No waiting like back home. We found it a much better experience than previous ones in the UK. If you need any more info, just ask! :-) Good luck! :-) Thanks for your reply. can you please tell me which doctor did you meet there at DGFC and approx. what was the cost of the treatment. Was it including the meds, scans etc. We saw Dr Wael and he was really really lovely. Explained everything really well and always asked if we had questions. We needed ICSI which is more expensive than straightforward IVF because it involves a lot more tests/procedures/meds. It was 45,000ish inclusive of everything for us (we had LOTS of tests/procedures in the lead up to treatment that not everyone needs) but if you call them they can give you a rough idea of IVF procedure cost. It used to be on their website so you could check there too. From what I remember scans are 400 each, bloods roughly between 150-250 depending on the one being done. It's the scans and meds in particular that drive the cost up, the actual IVF/ICSI is not that expensive so will differ for every couple. Sorry I can't give you a more def answer regarding cost! Hey Thanks a ton for your detailed reply. This really helps. I will try and get an appointment for consultation. I wonder if any part of it can be covered by insurance, such as initial scans or blood tests, even if ' infertility' per se isn't included. As far as I know, none of the tests/treatment is covered by insurance and all clinics insist they do all the tests themselves, even if you have just had it done elsewhere! Good luck with your consultation and if you need any help/info/ear to listen, just give me a shout!

Hi everyone! I'm really confused about which IVF clinic to go to in Dubai for starting our IVF treatment. Have been TTC for 5years and have had a horrendous IVF experience that resulted in severe OHSS and ectopic pregnancy, even though we had gone to a so-called renowned clinic elsewhere. the whole experience has left me really shattered and disappointed. We have been recommended Conceive by someone and from Internet reviews I have seen Fakih also has good reviews. However, I haven't seen many reviews for Conceive. Will really appreciate if you can advise on whether to go with Conceive or Fakih. Thanks a lot. Hi Gracie121, Me and my Husband have been trying for a baby for 4 and a half years. We have been to both clinics and found that Fakih were all about the money and Concieve I didn't get on with the Dr at all. Its Dr Pankaj. The first thing he asked me was why I was so fat!! As you can imagine that is not the 1st thing you want to be asked. I would personally recommend is Bourn Hall we have been with them for the past year. We had our 1st go of ICSI last may but unfortunately it ended up in me having a miscarriage. But we went again in November and I can know happily say I am 14 weeks pregnant. All of the Drs are amazing and make you feel so calm and welcome. I would recommend Dr Diana and Dr Robert. Hope it all works out for you xx Hi aimstars First of all many congratulations on your pregnancy and best wishes for the future. Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I will book consultations with them to get their opinion. After bad complications the first time, I think I may have to take a couple of opinions from doctors before proceeding. And it's really helpful to know what others in a similar situation have experienced. Can you please advise who did you meet with at Fakih? They have so many doctors on their website, I'd like to meet with one who can understand my case and is ready to give me some time. I believe their Head maybe quite busy with many things, so not sure whom to book. Also, in Bourn Hal who should I book my consultation with. Thanks..xx

both have their pros and cons... why don't you go for an initial consultation to both (and perhaps even try BourneHall)... you will be able to get a feel for the clinic, the doctors and their processes during your visit... after that it will just boil down to which one you are most comfortable with Hey, thanks for replying. can you please share some more on the pros, and especially the cons for both. It always helps to learn from others' experience.
