The name of that market is "baby bazaar".. it happens on a particular saturday of each month . Youll have to book a table to sell stuff whether old or new. They have a website with details and dates. Google it.

Whatever you install you will have to remove or they will remove it at your cost when you leave the apartment. Emails won't get you much far best to talk on phone or face to face. Nakheel have property management office in gardens inside ibn battuta mall.

Hi there, I am a newbie to the forum, and finding lots of great advice and information on the expat women site. It would be great to get some advice or any past experience. My fiancé has accepted too good to turn down offer for a role in Dubai, it's been a long term goal of ours to move out to the Middle East from Uk. We hadn't been due to marry until spring 2017, however on doing our research it's clear we need to bring the ceremony forward before we are due to fly in January! It would be useful if any one who has had a similar experience or in general understands marriage laws on Dubai to help me out: do authorities see value in the date of marriage? I.e we will have been married a month, will this affect chances of wife sponsorship / attestation / or securing tenancy agreements once in Dubai? I would want to leave myself exposed as I would need to apply to go on my husbands visa. Thank you in advance! Hello The dates don't matter as many newlyweds reside or move here. It is the attestation that is the important bit for your spousal visa. No LL asks for a marriage certificate to be able to live together I don't know about other places but this is not true for Gardens. Nakheel ask for marriage certificate before completing rental agreement. Apparently that's how they keep that area bachelor free. Talking about old gardens behind battuta mall.

Let nature take its course. I found out at 9th week that fetus growth stopped at 7th week. I was suggested a dnc but it started naturally in a couple of days. You can choose to wait.

Yes! And my husband stayed there for the night when he was hooked up to everything, they determined he has mild sleep apnea, was advised to loose weight, exercise, eat better. He did all of that, lost 8 kgs, still snores like a locomotive engine  We have tried everything as well, the only thing that works is when he lies on his side but that requires constant waking up, etc...so sleeping apart a few nights a week can restore your own sanity. This is THE ONLY solution for us. Surgery is not an option as it does not guarantee success. The "couple" side of the relationship has only improved from this as now I am well rested, not resentful or angry. You can try going to bed together in the evening and when the snoring is unbearable move to another bed, then when its the morning quickly scoot back to bed with him for 5-10mins. ;) BTW the cost of staying for an overnight observation was insane! Over AED3,000 as the insurance doesn't cover it mostly. Ask them to give you a full quote before committing to it. We have done sleep study as well but it was through Dr Bhagat. He gave contact of a guy who left a machine at our home and showed us how to hook it up for the night. He took the machine next day and sent the result to the doctor. It cost only 1500 something and was not covered by insurance. Agree with fairydust.. long term problems with sleep apnea are quite scary. Ranging from sleepiness during day to heart damage and stroke. Even mild apnea increases all these risks if left untreated. Dr Mueller loves surgery and never recommends cpap machine but the surgery he recommended was quite extensive and had no guarantee of a complete cure so we opted for cpap machine, which we bought from US. Same machine was too over priced in dubai. Cpap machine is not a pleasant thing to use but I am sure you hubby would get used to it when he would feel difference in his energy levels. You should definitely consider it for the long term benefits.

Our container was unloaded by King and Wilson in melbourne. The two blokes who showed up were really rushed and we only let them unpack the big things as they were literally throwing the small things in a pile. On the plus side they were very punctual and also collected the empty boxes when we finished unpacking after 3 weeks. Price wise DASA was expensive. We paid extra for peace of mind as we had used them 3 times before , locally in dubai. We got similar(expensive) price quotes from crown and emovers. If you need something cheaper I can recommend another movers which my friend used for dubai to Sydney. I dont remember the name but i can confirm it with her, if you are interested. She had a good experience but when we contacted them they did not sound so organised on the phone as the other big moving companies so we did not pursue them. Just wanted to add DASA kept us informed about the container where abouts through out its journey, with regular emails which was very reassuring.

We used DASA for shipping from dubai to melbourne. Got it delivered between 6 to 7 weeks. Door to door without any hassle and no problems with customs. Their dubai team was great and efficient. We had no breakage. Not too impressed with the guys who showed up at melbourne side for unloading.

May be also post this question at some australian forums like whirlpool to get more replies. We moved to Melbourne very recently and since job is in CBD we are living in a suburb serviced by the trains as driving for work to CBD is a major hassle due to traffic. We were also recommended by many to look for houses in East. We looked as far as glen waverly, black burn , mount waverly basically all suburbs reasonably accessible by trains but were not able to get a spacious stand alone house in our price range. Rents are pricey in East, we were only getting tiny units in our budget and since there is lots of demand no one was renting out to newbies like us. Can't recommend a suburb near Tullamarine but east would be quite a commute for you. May be come and have a look around to see what feels right. One colleague lives in Essendon and is happy but she has no kids so can't recommend school. We have friends in point cook and glen waverly. Loads of good state schools in East. You can check ratings and details on myschool website to narrow down where you want to be in a suburb. There are websites to list catchment area of each school we used all these to narrow down rentals after we finalized the suburb. From what I hear on news everyday there are no crime free areas in Melbourne any more but definitely some suburbs are more family oriented than others. Happy to answer any questions. Hope it helps.

Best way forward is to donate it to a cleaner or gardener etc. Or give away to friends. Why go through the hassle of declaring and then having everything checked? Check the food import laws of where you are landing. Some countries (aus and nz) are quite strict about them.

If your job is sorted and you don't mind living in a smaller city, then Adelaide is definitely a better choice. Rents are affordable, traffic is manageable and pace of life is laid back.

Nope that's not how it works... non Muslims children of non muslim parents don't have to take islamic education. Only Muslims take islamic education class ..some in English and some in arabic. Arabic language is compulsory for everyone.. there is usually arabic for native speakers and arabic for non-speakers. Arabic and Islamic education are two separate subjects.

Have a friend in Auckland. Rent prices are comparable to Sydney at the moment. Have increased quite a bit in last 2 years. Can't help with how much minimum salary you need for 2 people as her husband never got work in NZ and is still working out of dubai. Specialised jobs are rare and not well paid.

Don't know what a cap is but DH got a crown over one of his teeth and it was 2000 dhs for Crown only (not covered by insurance) rest of the treatment was covered . We paid this price at a jumeirah beach road clinic (near sunset mall) so I am assuming 2000 dhs must be near the top end of the price range for a crown. Can't remember what the material was but it was good. If it's a crown you are getting then keep in mind your existing tooth would be filed down quite a lot to be a place holder for the Crown. Hope your dentist discussed that with you?

Britax is a good choice but I prefer safety 1st alpha omega elite car seat. It's a 3 in 1. It goes from rear facing to forward facing to a booster. Google it to know more. It's American car seat I think, comfortable and made very solid. Look for it in sale in baby shop/Centrepoint. Lasts all the way up until your child grows out of car seats around 6 or 7..depending on height. Do not buy juniors brand car seats stick to known brands like Graco and Britax. You can Google more about Isofix and seat belt. Basically both are ways of hooking in a car seat in a car.

As long as landlord signs the original document .. it should not matter if he sign in front of you or not. But I agree that landlord refusing to attend signing if he is in country might give a glimpse of his care free attitude towards the property / tenancy. 2 week is quite a tight time line to get refund especially if there is an agent involved. We have never been able to get ours before atleast 3 weeks solely because things work so slowly here.

Thanks ever so much for your reply. Do you happen to know the names of any schools? We were looking at Jess Jumeirah, Jess Ranches or the new Jebel Ali school ideally but if you know of any other schools I would really appreciate which ones might consider this. Thanks once again for your quick reply All the three schools you have mentioned are always over subscribed especially for the entry years fs1 and fs2. you should be researching more schools also. Horizon international is a good choice also for foundation and I knew few families who started their kids late in fs1. It works out really well, especially for a boy.

Having a mattress and then going out to buy a bed for that size is a frustrating job. We did it also.. bought mattress first in dubai and then went looking for a decent bed for that mattress size. Very frustrating. You like a bed but size is not right or the price is not right or the bed is not right ! Research before hand if beds are available in dubai for the mattress size you are keen on bringing. Dubizzle.com is an easy place to browse for second hand things. It's an equivalent of gumtree in australia. You can search for Facebook groups in past threads at expat woman but most of good things are advertised in new dubai areas which might be too far for you since you would be based in sharjah.

I am not sure if it applies to all cases but my friend's husband have a different nationality to hers and after the birth of their baby boy they applied for baby to have mothers nationality and there was no problem. It makes more sense for baby to have mothers nationality for visa purposes as they need to travel together. You can find out for sure from your embassy.

Can only help with the second question. I have a friend who married an Egyptian and after a lot of research she found out that because of her being british it was easier for her to get married in dubai rather than in UK. There was huge amount of paper work needed to get married in UK, most of it to prove that her husband is not getting married to her for a British passport, which was quite frustrating so they did a court marriage in dubai and reception in UK.

I am interested in balloon sinuplasty as well. Any updates? Did your DH this at Dr. Muller's clinic? Did anybody do balloon sinuplasty in UAE at all? My DH had the balloon sinuplasty done with dr marc. It's almost a year now. The procedure went smoothly and we were in and out of clinic the same day in the evening. There was no bleeding or discomfort after wards and everything was OK in one week follow up check up. Dr marc does not have his own clinic. he works at BR medical suites in health care city. That's where we had the surgery done under general anesthesia. Why you have been recommended this surgery?

My friend delivered at saudi German last month .. it was a planned c section and it went well. Her doc is based at the hospital as well. Everything related to surgery went well but she felt the nursing staff and doctors on rounds were lazy. In case she needed anything or had any concern she had to follow up many times to get someone to examine her or the baby during her post surgery 5 day stay at the hospital.

I don't know from where you are getting your 'mixed' responses from. Being unmarried and living together in a conservative place like kuwait is a big no no. That part would come next.first of all your partner would not be able to sponsor you or even get your papers processed without a properly attested marriage certificate. That's the first thing they ask for, for processing a family visa. There are million other places i can think of where you would need your marriage certificate to get things done in kuwait. So don't take that piece of paper lightly if you want to move to kuwait with your partner.

I have had only few pregnancy appointments with her but then I changed as it was too stressful to continue with her. I went back to my doc at nmc speciality qusais, Dr babita. One of my acquaintance delivered with dr luthra last year. She was high risk due to gestational diabetes and a previous preg complication but was quite pleased about how her pregnancy was handled and her planned c section. Medcare hospital's emergency care is good. I have had a good experience in the past. I can recommend the hospital but not the doctor.

Rixos bab al Bahar , RAK is also a good option for a full board (all inclusive ) stay. All jumeirah beach side hotels (jumeirah beach hotel, al qasr, mina salaam) are good too plus with them you get free access to wild wadi waterpark which is a big hit with kids.

Cannot recommend any airlines but can definitely ask you to avoid saudi airlines for travelling to saudia. They are not bothered about seating families together and by family I mean a mother and her two kids. No one takes care of seating at check in and cabin crew does not care a bit about re arranging so a mother can sit with her two kids who obviously need help at meal times. Definitely avoid them.

Usually there are waiting periods for maternity on company provided health insurance. For our first baby my preg started after a few months of my hubby joining his new job and we completed the waiting period just by few days and got covered. Important to find out if your current pregnancy would be covered. If not, you need to start looking for reasonable out-of-pocket options for delivery and rest of pregnancy management.

Baby sling or carrier is good at that stage for baby. Nursing cover is really handy and double up as a soft blanket if its hot during flight. Don't forget to feed during take off and landing. During long flight I use to give baby back rub or massage as they do get tired sleeping in lap if bassinet is unavailable due to seating or turbulence.
