Few things I would look out for: standard of living - worse than back home; home-work life balance- if we spend all time at work and none with family then we would relook at relocating where we have more family support, savings or investment in property- something to liquidate once we are leaving, along with quality of education for my kids. Few of the things I would like to review and go back

Hello, wondering if there is such a thing as a German Shepherd owners group or social get together in Dubai? We have a new rescue puppy & I'd really like some breed specific support. I've looked on Facebook, but the website seems to be no longer operating & there is a breeder in Sharjah, but that's not really what I'm looking for. Any thoughts well received. TIA I have a hyper rescued GSD crazy one at home..she is 4 years old going on 2 months! if you want to socialise with mine it would be great...she lost her buddies earlier this year as I had two more rescued pooches....who died , so she is a loner now.

If you dont' want to invest in formal suit just yet, then a formal collared shirt with scarf and trousers with heels should do.

I hope you do know that complaining to municipality would mean putting the pets down! Trying to talk sense to your neighbours is the human thing to do. When I had 4 dogs, and we used to be out.... our neigbours cat sitting on our fence use to make all three go crazy... upon receiving complaint, we tried to investigate the timings of barkings and asked our neighbour to help by keeping her cat away... no cat , no barking. But all coz we spoke.... Please give it a try!

My son is 3.5 years old and had a similar bout in March this year...blood tests caught viral infection, antibiotics and he was fine. Only fever medication that worked was suppositories and I had to keep close eye on fever as he has history of febrile convulsions too. He had lost his appetite completely though....survived on oranges and lollipop! Get well soon vibes for ur bubba...

I'm just gonna put it out there. We don't have the hoses at home. I'm loving them; I think they're great. But what's the proper procedure? Are you supposed to spray from the back or through the front and in between your legs? I didn't grow up with them, so no one has ever taught me. I also clearly am not going to ask my co-workers. Please assist. OMG! am an Indian and never gave it a second thought about the positioning of the hose till I read this and had to collect my thoughts to concentrate about what I actually do...LOL! Its between the legs.... holding of the hose We were taught to clean entirely whether pee or poo( sorry for lack of anything less offensive )

Tricky this one... I can see the shock horror on my DH's face when I get broody at times though my second baby was born 3 years back...we are out of nappy stage too....terrible tantrum phase on which scares the daylights out of him. To be fair, I can kind of imagine his fear of being bound by baby schedules again. share these fears together, talk about facing these and managing ...All the best!

Travelling with new born is such a dream really. Just nappy bag full of change of clothes, bassinet booking for air travel, breast feeding cover, or extra bottles if bottle fed ..crew are more than happy to help sterilise with hot water. I so so miss the peaceful days of travel now that I have a hyper toddler....barely survived 8.5 hours travel last month!

Been to Maldives during August my bday month. It does rain but its not torrential down pour ...it comes intermittently and its fabulous weather actually. If the weather get a bit to balmy there is quick shower and out comes sun. Just a warning, the sun is really harsh and strong....even my indian skin got sunburnt after 20 min of snorkelling!

No love in relationship .....and clearly the kids will witness an unhappy Mum. For all that's worth it's better to separate and look for happiness instead of surviving in misery. Once you make up your mind, all else will fall in place...just a rough ride but having witnessed my close friends brave divorce and how they are happy currently makes me brave enough to share the same.

I think Dubai Herbal Treatment Center might be a good option for holistic approach. Also a friend of mine has PCOS and goes to Dubai Mall Medical Center and is very happy with it. She has dome acupuncture and also has been going to a nutritionist, which made a massive difference. Controlling stress and limiting dairy and gluten and eating whole foods as supposed to packaged foods. Good luck! I can surely second DHTC, poly cyyster since I was a teen...bad case of mood swings, wght gain and infertile too. After all sorts of docs and metformin treatment went to DHTC... 6 months wght loss happened and surprisingly got pregnant too....though wasnt trying! now I have realised PCOS is more than treatment...its a complete life changing effort....diet, sleep, food, drinks and making it sustainable is the key.

Please suggest some tried , tested or heard appetite suppressants that are easily available in the pharmacies or health stores here in Dubai. I recently used the HCG drops but shipped from US...on 500 calories a day diet for 21 days and lost 8 kgs. Now back on 1200 calories diet, with moderate excercise and lost anoher 3kgs...so total of 11 kgs lost.
