Greetings, I am a Waldorf preschool , kg and art teacher from Canada . I am moving to Qatar to join my husband. I am curios to know if there is an interest among the expat families for this mode of early childhood education. It is unique and magical. I would provide a Homebased Playgroup for 2 12 week sessions. In Waldorf education we specialize in educating the whole child through conscious playbased activities with natural toys and materials in a beautiful nurturing space. Language arts and math is carried through thoughtfully crafted circle games, songs , stories and puppet plays. Painting and drawing are held Artistic components.
I would be grateful for any feedback as to who maybe interested in allowing me to share this reverent and wonderous mode of early years education
With warmth and gratitude to all

Hello, Thank you for being in touch I will definitely let you know if I manage to get anything started. I did my eurythmy training at Peredur so I have quite fond memories of Forest Row.
Wow, small world hey?! It’s very lovely that you know Forest Row. I hope you get chance to start something in Qatar.

I know my 2 are too old for Kindy, but if you set up a Steiner art club or anything like that we would be very interested.

Not yet! I arrive in August. I will certainly be homeschooling and looking to connect with other Waldorf families. I would have loved to track down this teacher but her posting was a few years back. Let me know if any of you are interested in connecting offline. Let the Waldorf ideas flow.

Hello! We are re-locating to Doha in January and are interested in Waldorf groups. I am curious to hear if you have been successful in locating/starting any groups yet. Our kids currently attend a Waldorf school. Our daughter is EC and our son is in grades. My husband and I will both be working when we arrive so I am interested to hear if anyone has found private in-home teachers that use Waldorf or Montessori approaches. We plan to enroll our kids in an international school eventually, but it is challenging to get them enrolled mid-way through the school year. We are looking for "home school" options with a hired teacher, so I am not sure where to start looking for these services. Thank you!

Hello! I am so happy to have found this posting. I am not sure if you are still in Qatar but I will be moving and we are sad to be leaving our Waldorf school. Are you still looking to create a coop? I know two other interested families and I would love to help! I am working toward an early childhood certification.

Are you aware of Qatar requirements to set up such a business? You might want to ask about those as well. All i know is that for any kind of "legal" business entity in Qatar..you first need a trade license from the Qatari government. Actually, first you need a Qatari business partner who will own the majority of the business.
