Hello, I'm relocating to Bahrain because of my husbands job. I'm currently visiting for a month to get to know the place and will be moving here in January 2020. In the 10 days that I've been here so far my impression is that it's not very easy to meet other expat woman (or to make friends in general). I have visited the gym, RBC etc. Is there anyone in the same position?

Dear Mandy, you sound like my dad who never ceases to worry about me haha. He used to go on random social & facebook sites and get nice community people to keep me company when I lived in America. Sure! I'll be glad to get in touch with your daughter and see if she'd like to have some downtime to relax with me. A little bit about me... I'm 31, engaged, no kids, easy-going, low maintenance friend to have.

Hi PK and thanks for your reply earlier. I sent you a text message but then thought about the expense to reply so I've sent your mobile number to Celine but I didn't ask you what your name is!

Hello, my daughter lives and works in Bahrain and would love to make friendships. She's 30 years old, married and has 2 daughters under 3. She's so kind and considerate and fun loving and I do worry that she is quite socially isolated. Hope your relocation goes well and if you're interested in contacting/meeting up with my daughter then I'm sure she'll be delighted. Regards Mandy

Good afternoon PK. My name is Mandy and I live in the uk. My daughter is living and working in Bahrain and has been for several years. She is 30 years of age, married and has 2 daughters under the age of 3. She is one of the kindest, caring and considerate person I know and I say that without bias. She also happens to be beautiful, intelligent and fun loving. As mothers we never cease to worry about our children and I am worried about my daughter insofar as she has become quite socially isolated. Nothing would give me more pleasure than knowing that my daughter is happy and has people she can turn to, rely on and make social connections with. I have suggested that she takes the initiative to search such sites out and she has assured me she will although I anticipate that she may drag her heels! So for me, I checked out this site and came across your post and was wondering whether you have any advice or indeed if you're in a position to meet up/contact my daughter and/or vice versa. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Regards Mandy

It is a common expat problem in Bahrain. I have been here awhile and was doing just fine. But lately I have found myself in a socially dry spot and the need to put myself out there again. If you are in town and would like to Meetup for a simple girl's coffee or drinks chat, let me know. I'm currently socially confined to just my fiance and my dad. I love them both but I need some newness in my life haha
