I'd highly recommend Barbaranne who owns and runs House of Moirai - she offers bespoke bridal dress services, and I had my gorgeous dress handmade for just AED 10,000 all in
agreed!!! recently saw a dress she did for an acquaintance who got married in new zealand and the dress was beautiful

i'm not much help but i do understand that student loans don't contribute to your credit rating nor are they in any report when you come to apply for a mortgage etc.

I love living in Springs - access to all main roads (SZR, SMZR, Al Khail and Hessa) with ease and close enough to the city to still enjoy night life and shopping, but far away enough to not be trapped in bad traffic. Anywhere near meadows, springs, lakes or emirates hills is great depending on your budget

Any free VPN available in Dubai?
you'd be hard pressed to find a free VPN - most charge upwards of 300 Dhs for the year subscription. there are a couple of great ones that work here but i'm hesitant to write them on a public forum since authorities tend to clamp down/block them. a quick google search, im sure, will show you some good suggestions. the one we use begins with E

custardcream is right - a little more than most places, but worth the money. I've enjoyed every treatment and appointment there... highly recommend the hydra facial

The new IKEA at Jebel Ali is so much closer than the DFC if you're at the JLT/Marina end of town - it's bigger and much better too and definitely worth a trip early morning on a weekend. I've had friends mention Restofair but never thought to visit it

I'm pretty sure you can do this in the photo/camera shop in Dubai Marina Mall - I can't remember the name, but it's near the souvenir shop

Not personally, but I have a friend who moved out here with a relocation agency on a commission based role only and they struggled... Particularly since you'd be working all hours of the day, including weekends, to accommodate clients and landlords. With a good pipeline built already, I'd say go for it - but if you're new to the industry and/or country it might be wiser to find a job with a base salary so you always have a financial back-up.

Hi wannagodxb, I believe it's fine for you to move here with your children as a single parent but you may need a letter from their father stating his permission and that he's aware you're moving here with them. I could be wrong. Can't comment on whether it's more difficult as a single parent to find a school - but school fees may prove difficult if you're a one-income household since they can be quite high. What schools are you thinking of? And in what location will you live?

IMO it's something Harry himself has wanted for a long time... It's clear he's been deeply affected by the death of Diana and he entirely blames the media and the public pressure that comes with being a royal. perhaps Meghan is his lifeboat of getting out of there?

hi twitchy, be careful when self-administering clomid yourself... you could over stimulate your ovaries, or even cause damage to them. as you've said, you'll need bloods done to ensure it's working properly. i know time is your biggest concern... i haven't used it myself but generally you can get things easier here over the counter. if you have a previous prescription from an oz doctor you may be able to bring it with you to show to the pharmacists?

i'd be very cautious about who you select to look after your pup - there are groups like dogs in dubai that can help you find someone, or even pet sitters like dupaws... make sure she's left with a trained pro. otherwise if your budget allows, book in at somewhere like my second home or urban tails resort, each have fabulous boarding and daycare facilities that are nothing like a cage

our favourite thing to do when it rains is... sit inside and snuggle watching tv!! hahaha you can't beat hibernation. but i guess with visitors that's not an option; you'll easily find dining experiences indoors with the same effect as being outside... there's a brunch we enjoy at jbh, called beachcombers... that has seating inside but still provides incredible views of burj al arab

how long have you been here? if you work yourself and you still have enough money in the pot, i'd say wait just a little while more... has your husband exhausted all opportunities in his industry? checked linkedin daily? sent his cv to all contacts he knows so it's out in the market? if you enjoy living here it seems too much to give up on, set yourselves a deadline and if neither of you are still satisfied then begin the move home.. or even elsewhere?

1) Constant sunshine, 2) Opportunities; whether professional or personal interests, there's a lot more to try and experience here in Dubai and 3) More travel destinations in reaching distance

sorry to hear you're in this predicament - it surely is a stressful one especially living here why cant he get out of dubai? it's best you marry elsewhere before trying to move back into dubai and secure your residency, not for your own sake but for the sake of your unborn child having a child out of wedlock is a serious offence in dubai so its really not worth the risk whats stopping him from leaving?

i know you've specified villa but if you're open to spacious 2 beds at that price range, have you checked out jlt or marina? the marina rental prices have dropped so much recently.. we've loved living in jlt, with the lakes, restaurants, shops and metro very close by - great if you dont drive like me

After being here for 9 yrs i know exactly how you feel.... we once had a few weeks back to back with visitors coming and going and it can get a little much. If they've never done one before, book a desert safari that takes up an entire afternoon/eve for them to enjoy so you can get some chillout time.
