Hi,

I am moving to doha with my family, we have a baby who is a week old. Hoping to move in the next week or so.

We have private health care but we are so unsure on how to go about getting our baby vaccinated. We have her red book from the Uk which maps out when she would received each vanccination but obviously in Qatar it would be much different. Can anyone provide some clarity ?

Thanks in advance

That’s really helpful, Cookem! Thank you. So your advice is either get them ALL in Qatar or keep travelling back? They’re at 8, 12 and 16 weeks, right? My son just had his 1 year MMR.

Hi Unfortunately I delayed going to doha until my daughter had her second set of vaccinations. The red book is recognized however the strand and dosage in qatar is slightly stronger. So I would advise that if you have already started your child's vaccines in the uk then get the others in the Uk aswell or commit to getting the vaccines in qatar. I will be returning to the UK to get the last set of vaccines.

Hi Cookem, I hope your move has gone smooth and that you and the little one are fine & settling in to Qatar well :) How have you been getting on with the vaccines? I have the same issue, just that our little one will be due his 3rd set of vaccinations once we're in Qatar. Is the red book recognised as such? Just wondered how this would work over there. I'd be grateful for a response xx Best, Tina
