I went to see his replacement today and really liked him, very nice manner and quickly diagnosed pneumonia for my son.

Lets have a Dr Brian Moore appreciation thread. He was the best doctor without a doubt. we used to sit and chat about nothing for ages before we would get onto the subject of why I was seeing him! He diagnoised my meningitis straight away when I was slumped on the couch in the surgery half unconscious and he got me to a hospital pretty quickly. I drive to Festival city from marina to see him too.

Can I add my :-(( ? Brian's a terrific personal GP and we'll miss him. NZ's a small place, he was in our local practice back in NZ too (Kumeu) but I saw a different GP.

He went in December back to NZ with his family after many years service here, nothing bad just time to move on as they have a secondary child and wanted to get back into NZ.

He left early December - am sure the receptionist said he was going back home rather than to another practice but I wasn't listening properly as I had my screaming toddler by my side as I was phoning!!
