Hi Everyone
I did the Cambridge Diet one year ago and managed to lose 4 stone.... however, due to personal reasons, I abruptly stopped and as a result have put one stone back on.... I am now on it for my second time but this time I want to reach my goal weight which I failed to do last year and come off it gradually like they recommend so that I can control my weight :)
When I was doing it last year, I was able to join the forum in the Uk and it was a great motivator, but, alas, they have stopped it now for overseas clients but I still think it is a great way to motivate each other on and if anyone on here is doing it, it would be great to talk about how everyone is getting on .....
Thanks
Louise :)

Here is the link below, just contact Rachel and I would guess the consultation meetings are still held every Friday, 1 pm I think - think it is 200 dhs and then average cost per week is 252 dhs. Soups, shakes & porridge are 12 dhs each and the chocolate bars are 15 dhs each. It's great and Rachel has been doing his for years and explains it all really well. I lost 3 stone last year but gradually have put on 1 stone so I'm starting t again on Sunday to shift that stone and another stone that I never got round to! Good luck and go for it! It is pretty easy. http://www.cambridgeweightplan.com/worldwide.asp?DistRegionId=2&int=

my sister did it and lost almost 18kg in 1 month! Fantastic diet (for short periods) but hair loss may be a slight problem and keeping it off is where the challenge comes. But it is good to get a head start with the weight loss process...good luck!

hey everyone , i have been on Cambridge diet for last 4 weeks and have lost 11kg , i am simply having the ready shakes in cartons and bars. Easiest diet to do all week , but the weekend with socialising are a challenge. Another 6kg to go and then maintenance programme.. just need to remember to drink plenty of water all day.....

hi blondie007... my husband and i are planning to start the dukan on the 1st sept so not long to go so will let u know how it goes.... yes, dubai is not the best place to do a diet and socialise at the same time but i am sure with motivation, it can be done... i even managed to go into a pub last year and just drink water while everyone around me was not so to speak but it does take willpower haha right, i best get on with learning more about this diet......

I lost weight and FAST on this diet...the reviews online are horrible for it. It really works though and being obese is more unhealthy in my opinion. I wish they had support groups but the women at the office said they once did and most never showed up as they said they would. It is hard to have a social life as so much around Dubai centers on going out to eat, etc. My downfall was once I stopped. I had to stop abrupty when I had to move for awhile...and let me tell you-even though I thought I was careful it pilled back on fast! The other time I lost weigth was when I was in my 20's and on a strict Atkin diet..but alas, I'm middle-aged now and its harder. Its a battle and I have been a "yo-yo dieter" I am just trying "My fitness Pal" its a free app and you keep track of your exercise and food intake...I do find it helps to have to answer to that how is Dukan?

That's great thank you. I have done it twice before so i'm very familiar with how it works. I need to lose about 3 stone! I will get in touch with them for a consultation. Thanks again.

hi.... yes, they have an office on shk zayed road.... they also have a website cambridgeweightplangulf dot com for a weeks supply, it is approx AED 250 but they do insist on a consultation first which i think i paid AED 250 for and they talk to you about the diet and what it does etc etc.... it does work but it is hard going and they will only accept people who need to lose at least a stone...... unfortunately i did lose the weight but am having problems keeping it off so did try to do it again but failed miserably..... am thinking of maybe giving the dukan diet a go so at least i can have food but as i said, the diet definately works for losing weight :-) edited by dubai1990 on 22/08/2012

I started today! I tried the porridge in the morning and too chaffed with the flavour(maple I think) but yeah-I guess I wil jus hafta figure out flavours as I go along. I'm quite excited to do this but I'm terrified asto what will happen when I stop!!! I'm also going home for the summer and am hoping to take sum meal packs with me. Did u have any the headaches that I'm getting warned about?
