You want the shophaholic series. Shophaholic and Sister & Shophaholic Takes Manhattan will have you gasping for dear life. Start from the first one - Confessions of a Shophaholic and don't skip any along the way. :). ENJOY!!!
Ooh.. Not heard of Shopaholic takes Manhattan?? Did that come after Shopaholic and Baby???...
No it was before. This was when shophaholic got married. Here are the series according to reading order:
Confessions of a Shophaholic
Shophaholic Takes Manhattan
Shophaholic Ties the Knot
Shophaholic & Sister
Shophaholic & Baby
I think there's another one with shophaholic and after she had the baby. Have to look that up. I'm not a chick lit person but these series completely got me ROTFL :)
The latest one in that series is Mini Shopaholic. The series is absolutely hilarious! I love Sophie Kinsella! I also love Marian Keyes - good to see so many women have the same taste in easy-reading chick lit! Loved the Bridget Jones books too.
Shopaholic series absolutely fantastic and i reckon most women can relate to her in some way or another.
Bridget Jones too i laughed all the way to work on the train reading them :)
Another vote for any of Bill Brysons travel books - they really make me laugh out loud
and also another vote for a short history of tractors in Ukrainian and fishing salmon in the Yemen
The curious incident of the dog in the night - very funny but also very moving
The Stephanie Plum books ( Numbered ones) by Janet Evanovich are fabulous
It is about a very clumsy, American bounty hunter. Her Grandmother and sidekick Lulu are hilarious.
There are 17 in the series and i have heard there maybe a movie soon :-)
Some of them are funnier than others, I found the earlier ones better, maybe it was just the novelty. I'd love to see the film - who would play Stephanie? More to the point, who would play Ranger?????
Thought the same thing about the books the first ones (specialy 2,3,6,7 and 9) were absolutely hilarious, later in my opinion the focus was too much on the romance, but still the books all had their moments of laugh out loud. The 16th one again came back to "old form" had me laughing very hard at paragraphs and even when rereading i laugh again. Wonder how 18 will be, it is due to be published this tuesday the 22. I am not too keen on the movie though...

Finished reading 'I don't know how she does it' and that was definately laugh out loud and I don't even have kids! The film is supposed to be rubbish - the book is NOT!!
Enjoy
I was about to suggest that, Dubaichick - haven't seen the film but loved the book. The first few paragraphs of the first chapter particularly stick in my mind for laughing out loud - can't look an M&S mince pie in the face :D
