Hi
We have had a big clearout and I have about 50 or so books and a lot of magazines to get rid of. Rather than just throw them away can anyone recommend something more useful to do with them? There are some older ones, nearly all fiction and a mix of male and female reading material, some hardback but mostly paperbacks. The magazines are mostly 'Good Housekeeping'/RED type going back a few years I guess and there are about 20 or so of those.

Really appreciate some suggestions of where to take them or donate?

Thanks
Jill

I am sure you can donate to a number of charities. I would assume that many of the worker camps would appreciate books as well. ValGal

THanks for the replies. Im not wanting money for them to be honest but would like to give them to some charity or something that would use them. There are some very good ones and all in good condition. I guess I was thinking about a couple of hospitals?

You can take the books to House of Prose. It's a second hand book shop. Or find someone who has a table at one of the flea markets and get them to sell them for you. Does House of Prose buy second hand books? I used to sell mine there but they don't give you much for them I used to take them to the one inside the Garden Centre on SZR

You can donate books to the old library in moe. (They can't take magazine) Or donate all to rashid pediatric therapy center near lulu in barsha.

I asked at House of Prose a few months back and she said they only buy bestsellers atm. Could you take the magazines to a hospital or school?
