Best beach for mums to take their children to?

Hello there!
I'm moving to Jabriya with my three year old son in November. Getting him settled is my main concern, so I'm trying to find out as much as I can before arriving.
He's very outdoorsy, and we're used to having a garden, so living in a flat and relying on taxis will be odd. But - he does love the beach!
From what I've read so far, for me to take him to the beach without attracting any awkward attention we'd be best joining a private club. Do others agree? Which ones are best and most local? How much will it cost?
