Hello lovely ladies of Kuwait. I'm researching a feature for a new online magazine for people involved in running commercial play centres and nurseries in the Gulf. I'm keen to learn about accessibility for children with special needs. If you are a practitioner, can you tell me how you are able to support the needs of children with special needs and identify cases of undiagnosed special needs. For example; what steps have you taken to ensure your centre is suitable for children with special needs? Can you give specific examples? In the case of a parent/carer not informing you of a child's special needs, how then are you able to identify, report and refer the child to receive further support. In terms of the current law, do you think more could be done to better safeguard children or do you think the law is as robust and vigorous as it can be? As a parent of a child with special needs, are you satisfied with the range and standard of play centres and nurseries available? Is help at hand when help is needed? In the interests of writing a clear and topical story, I'd prefer to hear your comments over a skype chat so please PM me with your skype ID. I can only quote people who are prepared to give their full names as an anonymous source doesn't carry the same clout. Many thanks for your help and well done for raising children in Kuwait. Best, Lizzy (Writer2014)
