I was going to suggest on your other thread that you look in the Medinat Qaboos area, but also Bausher and Al Ansab (lansab) as the latter two might be better suited price wise.
As for the apartments in the photo - estate agents will say anything, but that aside I don't think they would be suitable for you for a whole host of reasons.

I do feel a bit nervous leaving him to find somewhere for us to live as I have only ever visited Muscat as a visitor. Have no idea the best place to live would be with a 11 year old. Any advice would be great.
