Hi,

Not sure how many have gone through this process, in particular Australians.
My husband has just received his visa last week now it's my turn to apply for family visa. One of the requirements is I need to provide a Marriage Certificate 'endorsed' by my home country's embassy (which is in my case, Australia).

I believe there is no Australian embassy here in Oman. So I contacted Riyadh embassy, they said they can 'attest' my certificate.
Is attest the same as endorse?
And does anyone know whether I can then use this attested document from Riyadh to apply for my visa or do I have to get my certificate endorsed by some other department back in Australia?

Hope someone can share their experience here..

Cheers,

You need to get them attested at home, then endorsed by the embassy (at home) can all be done from here. Let me know if you need more info, we're kiwis, but the process is similar
