Has anyone dealt with the used Land Rover Alfarden dealer or the service center??? If so please advise on experiences.

We are looking to buy a used LR2 but both times we have been there the sales staff have been very 'lacksadaisical' at best justifying their own behaviour by telling us the "cars sell themselves"!!!!! Also, they have a few LR2's for sale outside and they are very dirty, I know it may be hard to keep clean here but even the one I wanted to drive had a flat tire!!

If I wer eback home - of course I would just go to another dealer but as we don't have that luxury here and feel that Land Rover is a good make...should we just accept that "we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto"!

We visited the Used Land Rover dealer long ago, and weren't that impressed with the salesman, but he was much better than the salesman at a different dealer (Who I won't name) who insisted that me that my husband lied to me and then said that the 12,000 km warranty was fine on a new car because I would only drive the car back and forth to the mall! We eventually bought our car from the new Land Rover dealer. We love our car, but the saleslady was a complete moron who knew nothing about cars! Sadly, it seems like so many of the dealerships here just don't care about customerservice or salesmanship. At mercedes, it took ages for anyone to even look at us, because they seemed to only be interested in men wearing thobes. For maintenance, we've had mixed service with Al Fardan. I got in some pretty big fights with them when a couple of things happened that should not have happened if they had done the preventative maintenance properly. For about a year or two, there was a good manager, named Paul who was very helpful and went out of the way to solve issues, but sadly he is gone, and i'm not looking forward to taking my car in again. Sometimes they're good about giving you loaner cars when yours is in service, but sometimes not. And yes, it's really expensive-- but I think LandRover maintenance is expensive everywhere in the world., especially at the dealership.

Hello Toto (lol!!!) Unfortunately they do seem to have a take-it-or-leave it attitude probably because they are the only official LR dealer in Doha. We have an LR3 which we bought privately & lets just say that my husbands blood pressure goes through the roof whenever ours goes in because of their attitude & huge expense incurred (we literally need to save up for the car to go in for a service!!) They've also [i'>very[/i'> badly scratched 3 of our doors on two separate occasions, to the extent that the car needs to be sent away for repair. It's a great car - pity about AlFarden.
