Which one should I book ? We are travelling with our toddler. Tripadvisor doesn't make it easier, so I need your feedback please! Thank you so much!

Was at Singapore lately holidaying from Dubai. DH booked us at Carlton (Five star hotel) right across Raffles City and beside Raffles Hotel. Excellent location and within walking distance away from almost everything you need to see/experience while you're in town. Near MRT station as well because there's a station right near Swissotel (they're walking distance with each other). Room was very clean, spacious, and the window was huge. Loved it and will definitely book again there whenever we're in town.

we stayed at the Swissotel last xmas with our whole family meeting up from different countries. The location is great, directly next to it is the MRT station so easy walking and on top of that is a small shopping mall with mimi-supermarket and food court in the basement so excellent for breakfast if you don't want to eat at the hotel which is quite pricey when converting Sing$ to dirhams. very easy to catch taxis if you are not wanting to MRT it. Clarke Quay and Boat Quay are right behind and you can walk all along the river. Our kids loved the pool and the litre streams with fish in them. The rooms were fine especially for families.

We also stayed in the Swissotel a couple of years ago. We had a great room but my god was the bed hard! :D

I have stayed in both. With a child I would defnitely say Swissotel. Book a twin room (you get two double beds in the room even though they call it 'single beds'). The pool area is very child friendly and staff are very accommodating towards them. The speedtrain is downstairs in the basement connected to the hotel and mall so easy for going around Singapore. Nice foodcourt at the basement of Raffles mall if you dont want to eat in hotel and the breakfasts there is also fab. Intercontinental is lovely too. Very luxurious and next to a shopping area too however the train station is not direct close to it like Swissotel. Rooms smaller too.

We stayed at the Swissotel Merchant Court a couple of years ago with our small children and it was fantastic. The location is brilliant, the rooms are spacious and nice enough without being so nice that you have to worry about your children breaking something. The pool is great too, I couldn't fault anything I don't think. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. Your toddler will probably be in with you but if you book adjoining rooms they will make one of them up as a child's room with kiddie duvet covers and pillows, toys, games etc.
