Hi,
It seems quite hard to get up to date views on schools:) We are moving to S'pore from Dubai in the Summer and have been offered places at Dover Court and Nexus International schools for our daughters (who will be 6 and 4). We have seen both schools on a visit and like both for different reasons, although the difference in fees is perhaps swinging it in favour of DC which seems a popular and very well-established British school, if a little old fashioned. That said we were impressed by the facilities at Nexus.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these two schools? Would value feedback.

Also - we are considering where to live. Do most people use the bus system and not worry too much about being able to get to school daily with the kids themselves. Is it possible to live within walking distance? I am a teacher myself so may be working (we'll see!). It is confusing without being on the ground so would appreciate any help. My husband will be working in Orchard.
Thanks!

Hi Muzza My son went to DC for a year last year and my daughter has been to Nexus for the last 2 years. I really liked Nexus as it has good communication and real family feel to it. The teacher have been good, and there are lots of extra activities for them to do. my daughter is turning 6 this year. DC was changing ownership last year and I feel my son digressed at the school. It may be better now under new ownership. There are lots of assemblies and very little for competitive sport. My son is in middle school so that may play a part. People I have talked to like it for the primary program. Hope this helps
