Please can anyone recommend any must see / do activities for Singapore?

I will be traveling with my 1 1/2 year old daughter at the end of the month, so need things that are suitable to take her along to.

(I'm after personal recommendations)

TIA

Singapore is extremely kid (stroller) friendly so you won't have a problem walking around town. apart from the usual sightseeing places you could try Rochester Cafe which had a lovely supervised play area for your daughter. The zoo has a fantastic water play area if she gets bored with animals (at that age), take her to the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden which is part of Botanical Gardens... small water play area there too. sentosa beach is always fun...

The bird park in Singapore is nice as well, along with the botanical gardens. We also saw the gardens by the bay, which was lovely. Although I preferred the botanical gardens compared to the gardens by the bay....

Agree, the Zoo is fab. I agree we did it at night and it was amazing We also took the cable cars into the island although I didn't like that due to my fear of heights agh

(I'm after personal recommendations) TIA the duck tours, if still working. the zoo is fab, and the botanical gardens, and i think there is a butterfly place too.

we went for a few days when DD was 16 months last year. TBH, the only activity that i think was really for her was the Singapore Zoo. its a bit of a trek to get to but we made a day of it for her. everything else was more for us and she tagged along.

I don't have children but visited the gardens by the bay (near marina bay sands hotel). It was very, very child friendly with a dedicated activity centre. Great place for adults too. We also did the hop on hop off bus tour - would definitely recommend it. We stayed in a hotel on the Orchard Rd, not far from the main shopping area. Its such a central part of the City, we decided to locate ourselves there for the duration of our stay. We stopped off at the food court at Wheelock place. The standard of food was high. We went back there a few times as it was very, very cheap!

We also were in SG when DS was 18 months. We took the Hop-on Hop-off tour and it was fab - fee allows you a 24-hr (I think you can also extend it) unlimited number of trips and hop-ons hop-offs. Must-visits are The Raffles for afternoon tea (best to book in advance), Emerald Hill and the Botanical Gardens. Also Chinatown and Little India although we just watched from the bus :) Apart from that, a bit like Dubai ... lots of shopping malls ;) Stayed at the Marina Bay Sands which was convenient as we had a mall interconnected, a museum and a stop to the Hop-on Hop-off right outside. The hotel is nothing to write home about except for the external architecture and the views - the pool on the top floor was overcrowded, chlorine-smelling and freezing cold and the lobby is a bit like Atlantis', much too busy. Have to say that you can ask for a small fridge to keep your supplies of fruit and milk for your daughter, which they are happy to bring. If you are not BF'ing do note that the milk is very expensive (as is water actually) and I can't recall it being fresh (but UHT) so you may want to consider taking your own formula powder from here. The hotel gives you daily replenishment of complimentary water bottles. In the mall adjacent to the hotel you have a couple of small supermarkets to get your milk and fruit from for bubs. Restaurants within the hotel were non-existent but in the mall there was a superb restaurant by Wolfgang Puck (if you feel like splurging for one evening). One night we had dinner at Lau Pa Sat (old market converted into an outdoor food court) as we wanted to try the chilli crab in an authentic ambience. Not the most hygienic place and I spent the whole evening pulling out for Dettol wipes for DS (yes, my OCD was definitely showing!!) but it was a worthy experience. edited by twin_butterfly on 03/08/2013
